LBs???
5 CBs (4 Cover, 1 Run stop)
2 FS / 2 SS or 1 S* FS and 1 S* SS

2 DTs 1S*
2-3 DEs
5 LBs, all fast
4-5 CBs
1 FS S*
1 SS S*

Less players, More superstars, 35-36 man roster is the way to go

so are S*s able to perform both tasks as well a 2 specialized non- S*s?

For example is 1 S* FS as good at coverage and Run stop as 1 RS FS and 1 coverage FS?

Typically yes.

Cut your D-line down.

2 DT's, either make them combo's, or 1 pass rush and 1 combo.
2-3 DE's
If 3, make 1 of each type.
If 2, make them both combo's.

I wouldn't go with more than 2 S* LB's. The OLB's. Make them very fast, with the ROLB much faster than the LOLB, (100 speed ROLB, 80-85 speed LOLB), and the LOLB better in coverage, then 2 non S* LB's with 80 speed to play MLB and ILB in 4-4, 3-4, 4-3, and 3-3-5 formation. 1 S*CB is very important though to stop the run game, along with a S* SS. You can get away with 2 non S* FS. Then save the rest of your salary for the Offense.

That's not the issue. The issue is when you have to play a FS against a team that runs and passes.

You might want 2 Run stop CBs these days.

Is that 2 total DTs? You need 3 DTs, including 1 S*.

Either 3 S* LBs and 3 S* corners or 4 S* LBs and 2 S* Corners

The 1 Run stop CB is for 100% run teams. My thoughts are if they are 100% run why not go 100% 44 Big Man against them?
