I'm trying to figure up a balanced CB build. I don't have scout so just wondering if this is possible, or what people think of the end build

http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/player/216252

87 man aware(1 boost)
79 deflect
50 cover tech
70 tackle tech
30 power tackle
30 grip
50 brb
25 blitz aware
60 pursuit
60 d consistency(2 boost)
30 balance
74 footwork
50 quick
70 sprint
78 conditioning
35 tough
30 snap react
35 heart

Gold Contain expert
Gold On an Island

Ifsomeone could build it on scout would be great. Also like I said wonder what people think.

It's not bad, I'd switch contain expert for shed block and drop pursuit to 40 and pump BRB more, you could max BRB by dropping footwork to 70 and pursuit to 40.

Your original CB idea is fine though, and I consider my above change relatively minor, I'd just rather have 12+ constant BRB with a chance to stun the blocker, than to have 50BRB with a chance for a +15 boost once the HB has already gotten outside, and CB's need a lot less pursuit than a LB or SS who has to navigate through a lot more blockers, the CB just has to shake the Wr blocking him.

Remember that pursuit also helps the defender not get faked out by elusive HBs.

Good point though. Only need the pursuit to try and fire Contain more. Hmmm.

Elusive HB's are much less worrisome than power HB's, especially for a CB who needs to shake the WR block as fast as possible. I'd rather take my chances getting juked, but remember the only HB's anyone has trouble stopping are all power/cond HB's. If we're facing an elusive HB, the defense has most likely already won., and if you're facing an elusive and can't shake the WR block then the Elusive will be long gone.

You've got to be able to get to the HB before you can start worrying about being faked.

Contain Expert seems to produce better results than Shed Block. And Pursuit is much cheaper than BRB.

It is pretty difficult to build a true balanced CB that will hold up in coverage, she'd blocks fairly reliably while still having the tackling skills to not get insta-trucked by today's power backs... You have to give a little bit up somewhere.

Its balanced for my defense, even a balanced CB on my team needs to be able to be good at coverage. I see what happens when I have a Cbs that aren't pure cover.

pretty much, but do Cbs need a lot of BrB to get around WRs since most WRs don't invest in blocking at all.

I think it's pretty balanced myself. Way more invested against the run than the typical CB imo.

...and pure run team block bot WRs you'll never beat anyway.

Pure running teams WRs have a ton of rbt.

Dude...just stop. I am building a CB who will have 86 BRB + Gold Shed Block and Contain Expert. That is 101 BRB. He will beat any CB.
