I would like to see the cost of career boosts greatly reduced or the stupid off-season chemistry penalty removed. It is a complete rip-off to charge so much and then penalize someone for buying it because they had to find a new team, which was completely out of their control and not their doing. They try to force resets on us and at the same time they want to profit big of players extending their careers.

If I am forced to reset due to these heavy unfair penalties I will hit the log out button instead.

I mentioned somewhere they should at least extend the length of the career boosts...15 games is kinda lol...each career boost should equal 1 full season imo

I am on board with this. Each boost should be a full season.

Even at a full season it is a rip-off due to chemistry penalties.

So you build a player. You wait five seasons to finish the build and finally get to watch your finished player in Vet. You do the expensive career boost. After two seasons 3/4 of you team do not want to career boost and the team resets leaving you without a team. So if your lucky you get to sign onto another team. You then play like crap and/or rarely play for 2/3 of the season, is that what you paid that expensive boost for?

I absolutely hate the Vet chemistry penalty, if they removed that then maybe the career boosts would be worth it. I am sick of being penalized for giving players have a chance to play in Vet. The fun part of the game is builds vs builds and tactics vs tactics, not one team having a huge advantage over another team in a game that should have been fun and competitive.

It just seems so contradictory to discourage teams to spend more than two seasons in vet while encouraging players to pay for four. Without the terrible chemistry penalty it would guarantee players would get four good seasons and watch their player perform the way they were actually built.

Agree. Get rid of the chemistry penalty at Vet level.

Eh, I just want Career Boosts to get much cheaper. They are grossly too high for the bonus games they provide. I would like to be able to spend more than 2 seasons at Vet for all the money and work I have to spend to get there.

What's the point of paying anything at all if you get one or two more seasons of total crap due of this widely popular chemistry feature. I am ready to walk away right now. Why spend my time playing this game when I have zero chance of winning even though I have a great roster. I work to damn hard here to be shit on. What the *u*k did I do wrong to deserve this bull crap penalty? What did my agents do wrong to deserve to lose a season of their careers that they extended and paid for? Really they need to give everyone either 4 seasons of vet for free or get rid of this awful penalty they put on innocent agents and owners. I'm not trying to cheat or game the system, I just want to play. Call plays, set tactics and have fun.

We have EEA tomorrow. A rematch of our league championship game last season. Should have been a fun competitive game. My roster is a little better than last season it should have been a battle. Instead I see no point even putting a game plan together. I feel bad for our great agents who signed with us and even worse for the ones that paid for the expensive career boosts.

How come EEA don't have the same chemistry penalty?

The post below is my opinion and my interpretation on the design of the game. It is not based on any type of design knowledge regarding the game. I do recall some forum posts that make me feel my interpretation is correct, though...

If career boosts were cheaper you could conceivably turn over 1/4 of your roster every season which would help alleviate the penalty, especially with some level of planning. As it stands, you turned over 16 of 40 players on your roster with 10 of those players being on offense (not counting CPU). You can't "hide" the players with low chemistry so you are, essentially, screwed. If you only upgraded 10 players with that 10 being a representative slice of the team, you could overcome.

All that said, Bort & Co built this game with a focus on the build process, not the plateau. If you feel the game is stacked against teams trying to build Vet dynasties, you're right. The point of the game is to build to Vet, enjoy 2-4 seasons there, and then start over fresh. If is completely understandable that you're frustrated by trying to play the game counter to its design.

I still think each Career Boost should be a full season. Regardless of the intended design.

They just looked at GLB1, They saw all the free features people really like, and figured they could just charge people for those features here.

If they change it to full season I would fully expect the price to double.

Could be some truth to this. Its obvious they wanted to move away from the Classic pricing model (high upfront cost but long-term "investment" in the game) that was great to get an immediate cash influx to more of a pay-as-you-go model (lower upfront cost, but money doesn't go as far). To me, though, they key is that you can win without buying every available option. For Fury, I opted to not purchase AP boosts for most of my players. I personally feel that the 750 SP aren't worth the benefit for many positions. Career boosts are also a no-go for me. That helps keep cost of the game under control.

There are pros and cons to both pricing models.

yea but 30% back at the end sucks compared to 70%, also do career boosts, and AP Boosts count in the refund?

it ends up costing the same as GLB1 with career boosts but you get 30% back, its greedy

That defeats the purpose of my push. The whole idea is that it is too expensive for a boost.
