I was thinking today that it would be a decent idea to allow teams a certain amount of free quick scrims each season. I would not necessarily just provide a bulk amount of scrims at once but would instead suggest that every team gets one free scrim per week or something along those lines. This would provide a little bit more activity to the game and hopefully help with some retention. One of the issues with losing agents that find the game would be that there are only two games every three days and the pace is slow. This would increase the amount of games the agent gets to watch their player(s) participate in. The other thing that this would do is relieve some of the strain that team owners take on flex expenditure wise. As an owner you drop 500 flex for the team per season then 50 flex per scrim that you wish to test various playbook and tactical set ups. This is not a post to complain about the expenditures as I have enjoyed having my team for 8 seasons now. I do believe that we could make owning teams a bit more appealing. Hopefully with the sim porting to Facebook there will be a rise in the user base population which would also help with filling these teams.

Another option would be to have a certain amount of flex spent on scrims go toward future team renewals. More games played even if scrims has to be a good thing for the game no matter what could be done to do it.

The above are good ideas, though you never know what Bort will like.

I've always thought that if they gave Team Owners a coupon for a free challenge scrim (the 25 flex cost) usable only on off-days, it would greatly improve the game. Hey it's an off-day. Why not give everyone a chance at a game? The game server isn't processing anything.

Everyone would have the potential to play in 45 games per season then - a 50% increase in games. What would it cost? Virtually nothing. It's an easy way to increase value without cost in my view.
