Per Digitaldagger's request, I'll post in here. One immediate fix that I'd like to see is the merging of Labrador and Dachshund to make one competent league.

Currently there are 6 human controlled teams in Labrador, and 9 in Dachshund. Of those 9, 3 have a higher amount of cpu players than humans, and have done zero recruiting whatsoever in the last four months.

This leaves 6 teams in each league that are active and competitive. I think it's in the best interests of all of them to combine the leagues and have the one main journeyman tier. The other 3 teams can be thrown into another league, predominantly CPU (which doesn't appear to be too big a problem, seeing as how one league is half CPU as it is).

I think this game needs stronger leagues throughout the game. The more active teams in a league, the more activity you're going to most likely see. Whether it's rivalries that come from it, biweekly power rankings, league write ups, whatever, more teams should translate to more activity. This is anecdotal, but I have zero desire to keep running a team that only plays four meaningful league games in a season. There is no reason whatsoever for me to pay attention to league play until the playoffs as it stands. I think the less involved agents need to be, the less they're going to care, and we may see more teams folding as a result.

The one drawback this brings is ladder matchups within the tier. Usually ladder games are either:
A. in other leagues of the same tier
B. Outside the tier

last year, the Little Lebowskis played 8/16 ladder matches in the same tier. Of those, 6 were unique opponents. Personally I'd rather be in a league where I had to care about all 14 league games and get stuck with some extra inter-tier matchups, which won't be so bad for journeyman as opposed to seasoned. There's a bit more of a chance to compete with the professional tier.

I don't see any reason why this shouldn't happen, unless you argue that the three human controlled teams are getting the shaft. Either 3 teams get stuck into a mostly cpu league (where they'll have a chance to compete/learn how to coordinate) or the other 12 of our teams suffer.

On second thought it could have been them trying to create the illusion that the suggestions forum works...

I emailed support yesterday (before leagues were trimmed down) and today (after they were). I made multiple forum posts, including both journeyman leagues, your thread, and the suggestions forum. I even encouraged others in the tier to shoot support tickets backing me up.

Quite honestly, they probably just wanted me to shut up. =D

Regardless, they pulled through for me, and I'll give them respect for it.
