I've been pondering this question for a few weeks and wanted to see if anyone knows the answer to this. In the passing playbook you could theoretically put the same pass play in every situation from very short to deep. My question is does it make a difference in how the play is run? For example would my QB look to make the fastest play if the pass was called from the very short category vs. looking deeper downfield in the deep category?

I'm quite confident that the answer is no - makes no difference which playbook the play is in -- all run the same with same progressions / favored receiver / etc.

That is the way I'm leaning as well. Just wanted to get a consensus

I also say no, I dont use the categories as they are named. I use Very Short for 1st down plays Short for 2nd Medium for 3rd and short Long for 3rd and Medium and Deep for 3rd and long, and te plays behave the same no matter which situation I put them into.

Very similar to what I do except I use deep for special situational passes, generally screens vs potential Middle Overload.

The QB will go deeper into progressions for long situations but it has nothing to do with what package is used.

I use very short for GL passes, short for 1st and 2nd down, medium for 3rd and long, long for late game passing, and I don't currently use deep, but that an interesting idea Osiris.

Lol, all this thought process wasted on the actual GLB2 game Bort and Cdog wrote.

Pick SG TE Drive, SB TE Drive, SB Big TE Drive, TRIP WR Posts and TRIP WR Cross and spam them.

LOL, yeah I know Xars. I was pretty sure the sim engine wasn't that sophisticated.

If everyone runs the same plays with the same builds against the same defenses.... whats the point?

one huge philosophical question in the glb universe...

another would be... if the same 5 plays work against everything, why use anything else?
