D'Hara is running a really high strip tech defense on all LB/DBs and we forced 33 fumbles from the LB/DB spots last season in our 30 games(didn't include playoffs). It was our soph season and this season many of the defenders will be getting gold opportunist, i'm just curious as to where that is on a general level. I'll keep everyone updated on how high strip tech/opportunist as a team defense does as the seasons progress

I'm not sure how accurate it is (but probably pretty accurate) - stobie has a new feature - not live yet.

It claims last season the leading teams in FF per game were:

Game of Zones - 1.93 FF per game
Nebraska - 1.67
Moosejaw - 1.57
DD - 1.57
Porn: 1.53
Strange Music - 1.43
Virgins - 1.4
Windsor 1.23
Freakville 1.23
Cobras 1.23
Northern Uprising 1.17
etc


It shows D'Haran at .93

well I went to each games box score and we forced 49 fumbles in 30 games =/= .93 soooooo his thing can't be right unless I can't do simple addition.

Dumb question: could you be looking at 'fumbles' which would include botched snaps/etc --- and maybe stobie's doesn't count those?

I have no clue - just haven't seen stobie get stats wrong before

yeah I did just look at fumbles not thinking about botched snaps. Could be it...

33 from just the LB/DB spots so it's definitely wrong

edit: 11 more from the DLine, so 44 in 30 games. These numbers are from the players page under FF

I'd like to see the stats for non sack/botch snap fumbles.

Are you sure Stobie's stats aren't just fumbles that result in turnovers? Looks like D'Haran recovered 30 defensive fumbles in 30 games. Not exactly .93 per game but really close.

since you're using opportunist, can players "share" forced fumbles where they both get credit even though only 1 fumble was actually forced?

I'm with Hayrow here. The numbers Steve posted are not correct.

Just added up the numbers for Porn. 87 Forced fumbles last season for 2.9 per game.

If it's not live yet, I would imagine Stobie is still testing it, so...

I'm not sure about where Stobie's stat comes from - I asked him a couple hours ago to comment - but he hasn't been on I think

How many were dline?

okay. A closer comparison would be HoF where I think I counted 26 FF from LB/DB. I'll keep track of D'Hara vs some of the top teams of the same level
