Any recommendations on targets? I know technique-based pass-rushers use Footwork for Spin Cycle, but I just want to make sure that it still has value APART from that.
Is it just part of the lateral movement roll along with Pass Rush Technique or Break Block Technique? If I understand correctly--and this was just my rampant speculation--Footwork is more or less the lateral equivalent to Sprinting in the same way that the Pass/Run Rush Technique are to the Pass/Run Power Rushes. One deals with non-blocking interactions, and the blocking ones deal strictly with blocking interactions, but might incorporate Footwork (sort of like the Hold Block Chance AEQ in GLB1? haha..) and (maybe) Sprinting to a lesser extent in the roll?
I'm speculating about Sprinting because because I know Speed plays a small part in the capping maximums for Power Tackling.
Also, any recommendations on levels? I'm a bit curious because I have a sort of hybrid pass-rush DE that uses Tunnel Vision instead of Spin Cycle.

I think pulling guards need it.

No one know for sure, but the general consensus is footwork = lateral movement, and quickness is more of how fast a player changes direction and I think it has something to do with receivers turning around to catch passes and turning back up field.
For a hybrid DE quickness is important and vital if you use elusive or combo pass rushing... if your end is a bull rusher just to seal the edge for outside blitzers you may just want to go with more sprinting so if they do break a block they can get to the QB even quicker. They won't be changing directions too much... If you go with First Step for the accel boost then you need quickness just to help it fire.
