Prediction - These 2 teams are very familiar with one another. Central has never been able to pull off the win vs Bronx, but I believe that ends tomorrow. Outside Rushes and Counter plays are back, add in the fact that you have to respect Centrals ability to throw the ball as well and you have a tough match-up for Bronx. As long as Central doesn't resort to throwing it 40+ times again they should be able to wear down that Bronx defense, especially the DL where Bronx only has 5 total on the roster. For Bronx, it's business as usual. Offensively they don't change a thing. Central must sell out on stopping the pass which opens up the middle for the Bronx HBs to steal some easy yards.

Central ends the streak 31-28

#2 Logzilla Boys vs #21 East Coast Dragons
Prediction - Not putting any effort into this bloodbath, Logzilla by 40+

#4 Doinitin Djibouti vs #12 Madison Bulldogs
Chemistry - Both teams are limited by Chem, DD has 8 and Madison has 21 low chem players

Prediction - Another good match-up to start the season with. This will be the first real test for the Zone defense of DD, Madison must feed the ball to Prime Time and hope he falls down before the hard hitting secondary of DD gets to him. With all of Madisons low chem offensive threats I would guess they will at least have 2-3 TOs this game which means that the Madison defense must be able to stop the DD rushing attack with out stacking the box. For DD, put the base defense on the field and hope that RNG rewards you with some good TOs. The DD offense is the wildcard, they need to score at least 3 TDs to remain in this game and hope the defense does its job.

DD wins 34-24

#5 Southside Rebels vs #9 Robot Lords of Tokyo
Chemistry - Southside has 9 players with low chem, RLoT has 0
Last Meeting - N/A
Prediction - Even with some chem issues Southside is the favorite here. Both teams featured balanced offenses, but Southsides is a little better. I would be surprised to see any gimmicks from either team here, I think we will see both teams field their base plans and see who comes out on top.

Southside wins 35-14

#6 Jarvis Street vs #15 Hostile Takeover
Chemistry - Jarvis has 4 and Hostile has 1 low chem players
Last Meeting - Hostile wins 37-10
Prediction - I don't know much about either team, Hostile just dropped a close one to #9 Robot Lords and Jarvis hasn't been tested this season. I"m just making a blind prediction ere.

Jarvis wins 28-17

#7 Kentucky Mountaineers vs #8 Whoville Whos
Chemistry - Kentucky 1, Whoville 9
Last Meeting - N/A
Prediction - Kentucky fields a very thin roster especially on offense. Whoville is the real deal finishing #4 in the ladder last season. I expect Tortoise to have a big day and for the Whoville defense to easily contain the Kentucky offense.

Expect southside to be scary this season once chem has settled. I think having both tank and blue will really boost the offense.

Parab00n's zone defense is my favorite defense to watch right now. Hard hitting all over the field and interceptions like crazy.

Definately fun. Though its paired with the wrong type of offense i think. I think it would work very well with a rush heavy offense which help keep scores down with heavy top and make each of those turnovers hurt.

If the opposing offense has less TOP, then the chance of the defense getting a turnover is reduced.

Yes but each turnover is more significant. When your chunking 6-8 minutes per drive 3 turnovers would hurt the same as 6 with 3-4 minute per drive (being generous cause passing offense can eat as little as 1-2 minutes).

And if you are putting up 10 minutes drives with 8 turnovers, you are doing even better. Amazing how that works.

Yea but my point was simply rushing offenses naturally eat time while its a lot more difficult to eat time as a passing offense.

My guy has low chem right now. Once it's 100 we might run more.

A little nervous playing a zone D... we struggled in the scrims vs DD and it's been AGES since we've faced one in a ladder/league game. This is the kind of game where you see WR/TE fumbles, which we've had issues with in the past... and the low chem on all but one of our WRs/TEs cause the probability to be even higher. We will see if our guys are up for the challenge tomorrow.

edit: also, hostile is going to blow jarvis out of the water. consider this the season of the teams from BB's tier. central/hostile/robots/cobras all going to make a good run this season

There literally no pleasing you... I get sh!t on by you douches no matter what I say. I was giving them a compliment.

I'm saying they are a good zone team and their big strength on defense if our weakness on offense (turnovers)... that's it... I go into every game going for the win

If I get blownout I'll be pretty disappointed. I wouldn't be surprised to lose for sure, but I expect to at least be in the game.
