So, what's the most Coffin Corner kicks a Punter has had in a season?

My rookie has 3 so far this season. Is it because lower punt power that rookie punters get them more often?

Probably because of lower FG range settings in rookie.

I wonder how many Coords think about that?

...besides OSIRIS.

I just think it is because your punter gets so much practice while LIVING IN A VAN DOWN BY THE RIVER!!

Another case of lower FG settings. Team that regularly punt around the 30 yard line have a better chance at coffin punts.

Coffin Punts are a joke. Ive had punters with 95+ accuracy regularly shank attempted coffins at like the 22 punting from the 30. Better to just go with a sophomore that only specializes in punting power imo.

That is bad for the game. They need to fix the entire kicking game this off-season. Punters should be able to choose distance or accuracy and have them both pay off. Kickers should be able to kick 30-45 yarders with more regularity with 90+ accuracy and 80+ consistency. KO kickers need to be valuable throughout their entire careers...imo

its bullshit that with limited roster space, that teams have to carry 2 kickers in the first place. You should be able to build a kicker who can make kicks and put the ball in the back of the endzone on kickoffs

That ruins the point of choice though. The original logic seems to be that there is a trade-off between kick-off and FG kicking abilities, with a S* able to do both better. They should have just max one kicker roster spot to make the choice more meaningful.

This would make S* Kickers way more valuable too.

And it would also make kickoff returns more important as there wouldn't be nearly as many touch backs due to kickers not having enough SPs to invest in kickoff power to a max.

Agreed. And sprinting/tackling skills should also be dirt cheap so there is a valid choice between a moderate kicker that can tackle and a pure kicker. Right now if you tried to build a single K for both KO and FG/XP, they wouldn't be able to kick anything if you tried to give them some tackling skill. You should be able to build a very average kicker that can tackle. Same with P so you can pick two from punt coverage/accuracy/power.
