With all of the cookie cutter offenses going around what are some ideas for teams that you have or have had before only to find that you are unable to make it work with GLB2? Personally I would love to have a passing offense that heavily targets HBs and FBs out of the back field as something that would be different. What I cannot seem to do is get QBs to throw them the lions share of pigskins. This may be due to backs needing much more sprinting/quickness to hit their "sweet spots" where the QB will throw them the rock but I doubt that they could even hit the numbers needed to get the bulk of passes thrown their way.

I really want to make a beastly KR/PR FB... there's a few out there... just not sure how to build them
a dominating power WR would be fun to have...
also a defense full of 100 hit power guys would be fun too

I wanna do a 3-4 cover 4 based zone defense one day.
Gonna build a combo back when I eventually get around to doing my tier 1 S*.

The pure 100 hit defense sounds amazing. Wonder how many fumbles they would cause every game? Would still need enough speed/quickness to get to whomever they were smoking on that play but dear lord. LMAO

ive tried to boast a FB/HB passing offense for a number of seasons but the only play you can rely on is Chalice. Even making them super fast you can't reliably get them out of the backfield for anything.

This was probably the most fun season I have had in GLB2 with peeti's guy. If we end up resetting BEEF I will be putting together a full team of those WR's.

Definitely want to build a D around some form of 3-4 base at some point.

HAHA's going to have a bunch of guys with really high power tackling. Not 100, but close enough I suppose. It'll be a turnover themed defense.

Slow possession receivers with no route skills. Gold Quick Read, with tons of pass awareness. You'd want the QB to bail on the receivers as quickly as possible.

Might work but even then I am not sure if it would work or just cause your QB to lose consciousness in the 1st quarter due to the massive amount of sacks.

Madison was one of the last teams to try this... we were basically all in on Hands/CIT up until jman/pro, and had some success, but was a 2nd tier passing team until we added speed/yac/route guys. If you have even one speed, route guy with the rest possession, it throws EVERYTHING off though, as he'll get targeted a TON, with everyone else never getting targeted. We had some 90ish CIT guys with zilch speed that just NEVER got targeted, but had a great catch/target ratio.

The problem with no route skills is that you don't need any sort of Cover Tech to stay with them and dominate them. It is why C Tech isn't really all that useful until getting up near pro and vet I have seen.

My next goal for FSM, once we reset, is pure run and pure speed. Every position on offense will be fast as hell. Could fail, but it'll hit a lot of home runs.
I'd also want help filling out the roster + maybe a DC. Was thinking a non-blitzing conservative defense with some between 8-10 d-lineman. Haven't decided on that part, what I have decided on was ditching spin cycles in favor of tunnel vision. Across the whole d-line. Beyond that I have no idea. But a defense that doesn't need a whole lot of DCing, much more set it and forget it than what I do now. No blitzing, so playbooks don't need a lot of variety. Just 2 or 3 different playbooks with 2 or 3 different depth charts.

I am rebuilding my team (as most of you know since I post so much) to still use a heavy run game, but also pass some and try to get my QB to scramble. Duel threat QB, who can do it all...run and pass. My offense will be very dynamic, using all aspects of the offense:
- pass
- run with HB
- run with QB
- scramble set to always
And of course I am running an all zone defense, but also switching that up some. Cutting my blitzing CBs to add 2 WRs. Replacing a LB with a blitzing LB and a DT with a pass rushing DT.

Just pick a bunch of passes that have the HB or FB as the 1st or 2nd option. And screens.

I am doing this right now. Will be bringing one on my team next season. Then, when I reset, I will make a S* power WR. I started a thread on it:
