I'd be happy if there were 10 top 10 caliber teams in the tier...

Im just saying looking at panther league from an objective perspective you have 6 teams that made thier league playoffs last season.. Cool Runnings and York Revolution in alpha, Desert Lightning in beta and Philadelphia Wolves, MooseJaw Roughriders and Detroit Lions in gamma, as well as Vancouver Riot in beta who although are not favorites by far may be capable of putting it all together. For every winner there has to be an equal number of losers.

This is a good way to continue decreasing your user base btw. Discouraging the players making teams now because they dont meet your standard of excellence, and a mod no less. You should be encouraging them instead of measuring them against more established and experienced players. Maybe none of these teams are Air Raid or the Minnesota Stunners or Bronx Bombers but if you want this game to recover then these are the players spending their time and money building teams, and by stating there arent 10 top 10 caliber teams in the tier you are doing the game a disservice. All games lose players as they get bored, busy in real life or for a hundred other reasons. The new user base is the life of any game and a mod should not discourage them by measuring them against teams that preceded them.

i dont think his intentions were to discourage anyone at all. He was simply stating that he would love that if every tier was as competitive as the seasoned tier now that anyone in the top 15 can compete with each other. and each season we have had someone drop from that top 10-15 and someone else start to move up that ladder.

He isnt saying you suck and wishes you would get better for the game. he is saying as an agent with teams he wants to see the game get better overall and be able to have to deep gameplan every game he has.

Three Leagues - 9 Bot Teams

I know the odds are pretty low and having only 2 sophomore leagues would be awful but is there any shot at moving stuff around?

Edit: For competition/funs sake.

Leopard is the strongest league I think, loaded with top talent. Psnther has playoff talent, But not alot of teams that will compete for a top 10 spots in the ladder rankings.

that league has 4 teams that will compete for the league title. 5th place and down dont stand a chance.

Believe me its not me I am worried about being discouraged. You could all tell me I suck and Im just going to be more motivated to prove otherwise in the sim. But the newer players who we need to grow the game may not be so stubborn.

This pretty much sums it up. I wasn't knocking teams in Sophomore directly though I do see how it was taken badly. The tier, unfortunately, is fairly weak overall. In league play the only real question is who will fill which seed. There are a handful of good teams in ladder matchups, just wish there were more.

Let's have a look at ladder game 1 to find the good matchups...

Game of Zones @ Jebediahs Oblong Ball Club - It may be a stretch to call this a good matchup but people have at least heard of both teams. Game of Zones is the top team in the tier and should win this one by a large margin. GoZ 45 - Jebs 6

Multiple Scorgasms @ Desert Lightning - Two teams with top 10 potential face off when the Lightning face the Scorgasms. Both teams have pretty balanced attacks in week 1 of league play. I suspect this could be a fun game if you like scoring. Lighting 31 - MS 27

York Revolution @ Philadelphia Wolves - We have some Panther on Panther violence in the ladder as York faces off against Philadelphia. Last season York won the matchup between these teams by 2 TDs but York slipped up in Week 1 against Jebs. Even so, York should be the favorite here. York 17 - Wolves 9

Fury @ Trinity Titans - Two potential top 5 teams face off when Fury visits the Titans. Fury pulled off the victory last season when these two pass-happy teams faced off. I think we'll see a little more scoring this season but the same team will pull out the victory. Fury 27 - Titans 24

Corpus Cristi Vacation Bears @ Band of Brothers - Our feature game this week involves two more potential top 5 teams as the Vacation Bears visit BoB. The CCVB lost in week 1 but there is no shame in losing by a TD to the top team in the tier. I don't see BoB's defense slowing down the Vacation Bears' passing attack enough to pull out a victory. CCVB 31 - BoB 17
