#1 Madison vs #10 Default Name
- Madison's lone loss this season so far came to Logzilla, and Default Name is a bit different style of all passing offense to threaten Logzilla. That said, Stobie's team has struggled with good blitzing defenses, and Madison's probably got the second best blitzing defense in veteran. I'd take Madison here.
#2 Djibouti Assassins vs #9 Doinitin Djibouti
- Paraboon's all over this one. Who's running the Assassins defense in this one? Should be a pretty high scoring game based on how the defenses are built relative to the offenses. I'm taking DD since they're more capable of giving Saul problems with the blitz.
#3 Richmond Raiders vs #4 Ground Assault
- Veteran rushing attacks are still relevant! These two teams prove it right? This ought to be a good one. You'd expect lower scoring for sure. Richmond has a token passing game that might be pretty effective against the GA preferred tactic of using 5-2 Zones to lockdown run-first offenses. But Richmond's backs are faster than most, so perhaps the zone defenses don't concern them as much? If Richmond does bump up the passing %'s, how well will they handle the spin cycle heavy pass rush from GA's front 5?
#5 FSM vs #15 LiK
- Long Island's been hanging around the top 25. They've had a rough go of it defending passing teams so far, so FSM's offense looks to possibly have a big day. The Knights can also run the ball, which FSM can sometimes struggle to contain. Maybe a higher scoring affair, but I thought that about FSM's last game too and was wrong. I'm taking FSM here.
#6 Logzilla vs #14 Winnipeg Wrath
- I think Logzilla wins a blowout here. Winnipeg's a dangerous opponent for certain teams, but the sim changes this offseason were unkind to their brand of rushing attack, and Logzilla is pretty much designed to defeat this type of team. Especially since Winnipeg is particularly vulnerable to pass heavy offenses.
#7 Milwaukee Beers vs #16 TT's
- Aeir's quietly jumped back into the top 10 with impressive B2B wins over Whoville and Providence. This is their first major test against a high powered passing offense this season. They looked pretty good against Philadelphia, but TT's offenses is a significant step up from Philly. I'm going to take TT's in this one, since I expect they'll handle the Beer's like they did LiK and Providence. The Beers do threaten with the QB rollout, which may or may not catch TT's with their pants down.
#8 Whoville Who's vs #12 Providence Radicals
- I really don't know who to pick here. Both teams are worthy top 15 type squads. Both have been a bit inconsistent. I'm going to wild-ass guess here that Whoville wins with a stronger defense.
