Ok - let's try to create some cares for Vet.


#1 Minnesota Stunners vs #6 Queen City 18-7 - Another rematch for the Stunners. These teams met on April 5th. Stunners won 55-10 - March 8th stunners won 24-38 (we didn't game plan) - Feb 6th stunners won 69-6 - Jan 2nd stunners won 167-0 - Nov 20 stunners won 63-6.


#2 Harrisonburg 22-3 vs #20 Whoville Whos 18-7 - Whoville choked a 4th quarter lead against MMA. Whoville is probably just good enough to elicit a "wouldn't surprise me if we lose" from tiddy.


#3 MMA 20-5 vs #LOL Gatling 10-15


#4 Air Raid 16-9 vs #7 Run GLB 19-6 I guess in the technical sense, Run GLB beating Air Raid would be an upset. Seems like an easy selection but you make the call.


#5 Djibouti Assassins 21-4 vs #25 TT's Superstars 21-4 -Interesting! Is TT's team really good...or are they just so far down the ladder that they get easy games? TT beat DD which is something...but they also have shaky losses on the season. If nothing else - I'm glad TT is getting a shot at a top team.


#8 Run Defenders 17-8 vs #1 Pro Ground Assault 21-4 - Wow! Very interesting game! I'm glad for bhall: he gets another defensive test for the team he has put together. Also glad for USC and Galithor - as they will have more to secure their position as the "next big thing" if they win this one. This is one I'd like to watch on GLBTV.

Unrelated question since I know the people with this answer will read this thread eventually:

Other than Yukiko and Cleveland, who are the S2 superstar QB's that are retiring? I think there is a third but I am not sure.

Run GLB over Air Raid is the only one I think has a really good chance of happening, but a ground assault win wouldnt shock me.

Stunners vs Queen City - great exciting game. QC falls into a 21-3 hole at half time but climbs back. With the Stunners leading 35-31, Romo has driven down the field using up about 5 minutes of clock time to get himself a 1st and goal from the 9 with 1:27 to play.

QC has scored TD's on their last 4 drives including 2 drives where he scored on 1 play.

Run Defenders beats the pro Ground Assault squad 28-23
Ground assault scores on a GLOT vs Edge Fire Strong matchup (haven't seen that before)

Ground assault adds FG's from 54, 45 and 18.

In a game you would expect GA to dominate with long TD runs --- it is actually the GA defense that gives up the long TDs.

Late 3rd quarter, GA leads 23-14 and pretty much Barry Allen makes them pay for not putting in help over the top:

Then a few minutes later - with the score still 23-21 - pretty much Barry Allen says "seriously? 5-2 cat blitz roll against me?"

In the closing minutes - Ground Assault marches down the field rumbling, bumbling and stumbling (but mostly dragging) run defenders to what looks like is going to be a final seconds victory. That culminates in a 4th and 2 from the 11 with 47 seconds to go. What play call do you make there?

So what happens when the game is on the line and you've got Reggie Wilson matched up outside in space against Free Safety Howard Rocha? BOOM. One shot one kill from Howard Rocha. That was a heck of a tackle and a heck of a play and a great game.

Worth noting I think: that weak I sweep weak was run by GA 11 times that game. Outcome of those runs in order from beginning to end? 10, 3, 2, 16, 16, 7, 7, 9, 4, 10. The 11th? The 1 yard loss to end the game. Even more impressive Howard Rocha - you're like the michael jordan of dotball: all he does? Game saving tackles in the closing seconds.
