The sim on this game sometimes makes me want to smack my head into a wall, lol... we have a wonderful come back and chance to tie after being behind all game to the #5 team in our tier, and then the cpu does this on the last series:

normal unfortunately -- 4th and short stuff kicks in there.

do your tactics for 4th down and very short / down by 7 / 2 minutes say inside run?

What are your 4th down tactics set as?

You would think with the game on the line, it would over ride 3rd/4th and Very Short to still take shots at the End Zone being down by one score, but oh well.

The game can't read your mind. It plays by the tactics that are set. Maybe you are a rushing team and wanted to run that ball there? Logic starts with the tactics. Now if you punt or kick a FG there I can understand some criticism of the sim logic.

I'm not expecting it to be a mind reader, but I think there should be something to over rule the settings for such when the game is in a situation like this is all. I know there is some hard coded logic, maybe something can be adjusted to take over during these situations is all.

Then the teams that 100% run will complain that a pass was called instead of a small chance of a TD from a run.

This already happens if there are only a few seconds left

You know, there is a "Fourth Quarter, Fourth Down, Less than 1 TD Behind, 2min Left" setting.
