I CAN'T WAIT until the OL nerf finally makes its way to Vet, should help slow down run games a bit

7 of those won't be in Vet next season. Possibly 8. A massive amount of top end offensive weapons leaving. Have any WR's/TE's ever been in the Top 10?

Mid season doesn't really mean anything.

if it is still like that toward the end of the season we'll see.

If they scaled back current values like they said they did the nerf is already in vet.

S9, S8, and S4 were only seasons a WR has finished top 10

Highest ever for a WR is #7... Season 8 Trey Dukes and Season 4 Randall Cobb

a TE has never finished top 10

Season 4 was mostly due to that glitch in route covering and a number of guys got close with WR screen spam. Probably won't be seeing a WR in the top 5 ever.

Are you certain it's not impacting QBs via more pressure just as badly? Passing seems to have been supressed a good bit more this season. Are the new plays just that much better pass defense plays than what we had before?

It wasn't really the OL which were the killers in pure run teams, it was the blocking WRs, and the untackleable HBs

Is that even true? I see it here on the HOF ranking -- but other than Air Raid...every other passing team seems to be generally unaffected this season compared to last.

It's not like anyone other than Air Raid appears to have had the wheels fall off is it?

To your first question, doubtful considering the low numbers being used for pass blocking. It may impact where teams like DA and RD need to take their caps in the future but at this point neither team runs that much anyways.

To your second question, yes they most certainly are better than most anything we have had and when used in combination with the better plays we already have had you can suppress a good amount of plays.

Saul's numbers are down too.

Air Raid's are more explainable by attrition. We don't have the roster we've had in the past.

In any event, just a gut feeling. We're not going to see a season from anyone like Saul had last season, which ought to kinda point to the maximal reach of the passing offense having been somewhat diminished for whatever reason.
