1.) Pennsylvania Silver Knights: (11-0) PSK officially locked up a playoff spot with their best Michael Vick impersonation of torturing the Hagåtña Dogs 46-3.
2.) San Fran Gold Rush: (11-0) Shut out victory over the Bushido next up their toughest stretch of the season beginning at Sault Ste Marie.
3.) Algeria Addiction: (10-1) Still thinking about that 1 point loss as they roll over the rest of the competition.
4.) Bali Waves: (10-1) 7 yards short of being undefeated, but still have their own destiny in their hands in regards to the #1 seed in Zeta.
5.) Sault Ste Marie Metalheads: (9-2) Now back to their winning ways, can they knock SF from their pedestal?
6.) Singapore Flames: (8-3) Timely interception by SS "Twinkle Toes" McGraw with less than 2 mins left ensured win #8 for the Flames.
7.) Bay Area Riders: (9-2) The Riders should have no problem at Hiroshima this week.
8.) The Elephant Riders: (8-3) Three game win streak on the line as they host the Blue Demons.
9.) Xi'an Xplosivo: (7-4) Very tough stretch upcoming as they face 4 of the top 8 teams in Zeta starting with Davao.
10.) Hiroshima Radiation: (9-2) Barely holding on to that Top 10 spot. The Radiation will make the playoffs at 11-5.

13.) Hanoi Knights (7-4)
14.) Davao Destructobots (6-5)

21.) Thailand Cheap Toys
22.) Indianapolis Fighters

23.) Bien Hoa
24.) Cite Soliel

29.) Hookers
30.) Cyberballers
31.) Black Flame
32.) Envelopes

I've been gone for a few days and I return with a few questions, comments, or thoughts to share.

1.) Hong Kong... I thought they were for real. I guess I thought wrong. It is now looking like the win over SSM was more of a fluke than the early season losses to Davao, Bangkok, and The Elephant Riders. They will make the playoffs, but they'll be a low enough seed to meet one of the powerhouses in the first round and earn an early exit. So that is bad news for HKH but good news for the league. But there is a valuable lesson to be learned here. In the immortal words of Public Enemy... Don't Believe the Hype!

2.) Ok so Houston was sold. The new ownership moved the team to Manila. IMHO that was a great move. No offense to PSK, SF or any of the other non SE Asian located teams but I believe that the teams in the league should be appropriately placed. Anyway... So with this move Manila gets a team in AA#1. Then 3P moves to Manila as well. So now does Manila not only get 1 terrible team, but they get 2. One with an awful name as well.

3.) Hiroshima Radiation. Let me clear the air here. I do not hate the Radiation, its players, its coaches, or its ownership. I merely try to be honest, and voice my opinion here. And I may even show some favoritism towards Bangkok or Zeta. Very few if any sports writers are totally un-biased. Anyway in my opinion Hiroshima falls somewhere between 6th and 8th best in Alpha. Its nothing personal, its just my opinion.

4.) At this point I'd like to say that Algeria is my pick to win the league championship.

Yeah, those three early losses for HKH we had our backups getting roughly 70 plays, and the middle of the packers barely beat us in the final seconds of each game. All we need is to get in the tournament and we aren't too concerned with our chances. These recent two losses to Bali and the Flames were just losses, not much to say there. If we don't pull off the miracle 8th seed run and get out this league, I can't wait to be back to exact vengance next year. This game against San Fran looming in the distance will tell us a lot where we stand. Its just hard to figure out good game plans when we had a screwy first half the season and like 14 easy wins last season. I think we will be alright in the long run. I've grown to know and love this league though, so I almost wouldn't want to move up. Almost..

I would just like to say that Hanoi is on a roll after figuring some things out, we are using the motivation of an absentee owner push us to the championship before we all leave at the end of the season. This will be one of the funniest stories if we can pull it off. Championship teams moves up to AAA only to have everyone leave and get relegated next season. Chances of us moving up are slim, but I love being the underdog.

Please forgive me for naming my team Algeria, I failed Geography in school.

I should've named my team Asian Hooker Addiction.

Well, there is a San Francisco in the Philippines...

Actually, we on the Gold Rush are a bunch of folks from 49ers.com and other 49ers message boards who got together to make a team. Unfortunately, when our owner bought the team, it turned out to be in SEA. I am sure Jerm would have loved to get a USA team, but with the waiting list for teams being so long, you take what you can get.

If it's any consolation, the vast majority of teams in this game are populated with American players, no matter where their team plays...we are hardly the only team that is "out of place" in their region.

I send a message to support, since this guy is a new owner there is nothing he can do, he isn't inactive in the game, he is just inactive with the team. The last interaction I have had with him was when I volunteered to be GM again after we lost a couple of games, he sent me a PM saying GREAT glad to have you back and then nothing sense. I have sent him 2 PMs and no response. He started a Game ball thread 4 games ago and has never posted anything since the day he posted it. We are all fine with it because when the old owner (who is still on teh team) got ready to sell it back we all decided we would sign new end on day 40 no trade contracts to see if the owner can earn our respect. You would think inheriting a winning team would be motivation, maybe he wanted to start from scratch and realized he had no options. He was given a team that had almost 100% chemistry before it was sold (had to be reset to 70) and over 5 mil in the bank.

Thorn said they can't just take the team away from him. What I am trying to do is find a new team for next season (hopefully a brand new team without a level cap) that would be willing to sign everyone that wanted us. there are about 10 guys who are active on the forums and we are trying to land on the same team and see if we can continue the winning.

Great read as always Coach. As you said, SF is entering a tough stretch of games. Should be interesting to say the least.

Agreed. The goal is always to win every game but rarely does any team go undefeated. If we are going to have a regular season bump in the road it will be in the next three games.

This next stretch will tell their tale, because so far they've only played one team that did good last year.

Just because they didn't play good last year, doesn't mean they aern't good this year. I mean look at you guys, you were good last year and now you suck.
