And so it begins! New season, and 2 new teams to challenge with the merging of many of the "Tree" leagues (apparently Sturgis and Jameis are the new kids..yay?)


Granted, I don't know too much about most of the teams but have heard of a few before so my predictions are likely meh lol. But I think we all know one of the main storylines..

It's obvious everyone will be gunning for the Columbus Cobras, seeing how they will be determined to go for a THIRD straight Oak League Championship..None more so than Too Many Cooks, who are hoping to finally overcome them in yet another possible championship re-match!

I feel the rest of the playoff spots will be up for grabs, minus the CPU teams.

I was wondering why you kept calling them cheaters for simply having high contracts, then I checked their team page and saw that they are -2.1 million.

Also take a close look at their agents. Malcom43, Malcom44, Too1, Max31, Maxzz, Tim106, Timmy7, Timothy37.

There are easily 100+ different accounts with only 1 free player on each of them, created in the middle of season 8 within a two week period. Most of them are so conspicuous that is is almost insulting to the GLB staff. Malcom just ascends in numbers from Malcom7 all the way to Malcom44 and beyond.

It's quite pathetic that he is willing to invest this massive amount of time into a game and would rather spend his day logging in and out of different accounts rather than shelling out $10 or $20 to the company providing him with entertainment.

I've had enough interaction during the recruiting process to know that these are all the same people (or small group of people) obviously exploiting the free player system to avoid purchasing flex. It's no surprise that many are finding themselves on the same team now.

Just take a look at some of the imagery and vocabulary used in messages:

"funny I was told you guys suck B====D" - Two1
"Kiss my B = = = = = D" - Tim106
"Wow you guys suck DICK please release me... but you need to release big trouble in little china as well... she and I am a team..." - Malcom7

It's not cheating, it is exploiting. A distinction the GLB2 support team has made clear to me through messages. There are simply flaws in the system that can be exploited for unfair advantages and the GLB2 staff is not willing to take action.

Simply put: most salaries have % salary modifiers. When teams advance all the salaries increase, and then the % modifier comes into effect. This can cause teams to go over the salary cap for an entire season if they were maxed out, but it removes their ability to make any roster moves until they release multiple players. The GLB2 staff is well aware of this issue and has to invest a lot of time every season correcting it, as it happens by accident frequently.

Looking at his signings, you can see he obviously knew this flaw and gave all his players high contracts right before the new season began. As most/all of his players are his own through different accounts, they were all accepted and he didn't have a single player leave his poorly ran, sub rank 25 team. This means he has 10-20 high contracts he shouldn't be able to afford giving his team vast amounts of heart they do not deserve.

Players will do this knowing the GLB2 staff can't correct it for a few weeks to try to get some cheesy wins. It's just a shameful tactic, especially if you still can't get wins.

I shouldn't be so harsh though. I remember when I was still living with my parents as a teenager. It was difficult/impossible to convince them to spend money on my online video games. I can relate.

If you are a grown man Malcom, I'd take a long look at yourself in the mirror.

The funny part of all of this is that they still suck after all that effort.

What I thought was just a rant or some good hearted rivalry talk has turned into an indictment by the District Attorney.
