This happened 5 times in this game. Why do the 2 defenders not make an attempt on the ball at all and overrun the WR?

You'd think they'd do bracket stuff, but nope.

What't their awareness? One of them doesn't react until the WR has already caught it, the other only reacts until the ball is almost at the WR.

Cb has 70 and the fs 50. It's season two so no one has a ton, but why does the receiver react like he always knows where the ball is but the defenders don't?

All the cbs are in the 70s so it shouldnt be awareness. I mean 5 times in a single game all the exact same way. I just don't understand.

that's nothing... ive seen quadruple covered WRs make catches. If you make high CIT guys, it'll happen.

Just seems a bit weighted to the advantage of the receiver.

I agree, that's why you need to bring pressure right away so the QB doesnt have time to let the WR go deep, then come back. This is important to get to the QB especially when players are younger... I used to blitz like all hell until I got around the journeyman time. Get pass rush tech, footwork, spin cycle SA on your DEs as quick as possible.

Once you get to pro/vet, you can ease off the blitzing once your CBs have deflecting/man aware/etc in the 80s

this doesnt work nowadays...blitz a team like BSB, Cobras or Bronx Bombers and you are dead

BSB was held in check a couple times by teams who put a lot of pressure on them.

BB got beat in the playoffs by a team that put pressure on them.

Same with Columbus, beat twice in League play. Once because a team put pressure.

Just because your defense can't do it doesn't mean everyones cant.

Not since the changes last season tbh. Now, if you don't get separation you don't get the catch.

no, if you don't have a fast guy, you just won't see targets. I had three very slow WRs last season that all caught 50%+ of their targets. I'm pretty sure I had a few plays last season my WRs/TEs (90+ CIT) that caught stuff in triple/quadruple coverage. I still very much believe that every pure passing team needs at least one CIT-based WR to use at WR2, and mix in at the other WR positions.
