Hopefully CD will address a few of those plays we listed yesterday and fix the routes. If so we could possibly find a few more than we can spam instead of these over and over.

Mhhh no. I think the best solution is deleting those plays above. That should fix it

Based on yards/attempt, it's pretty apparent that it's largely a case of people playing 'follow the leader'.

There are 32 pass plays that averaged over 6.00 yards per attempt. 26 if you filter out plays called below 30 times (little more fair comparison).

I'll queue some of those up later to see how they do, but a lot of times all out passing teams won't see a 4-3 vs the 2 WR set making it a lot harder to complete. I'm all for testing it out though.

Of course they're going to be gameplanned differently, but umm...that's accounted for in the data?

For sure. And also some teams have the ability to branch out and try new plays into the mix while still relying on these plays to do the heavy lifting.

I'm just disappointed y'all aren't calling TE screens.

Even if you created the perfect Tackling breaking TE it would just be a lot of drags and fumbles.

Air Raid ran TE Drive/WR Posts spam before Stobie's scout tool confirmed to everyone else that they were cool

We stopped spamming TE Post except in short yardage before everyone else too. Still a good play. The short routes suck on first down though.

So after it was already confirmed by Sunday Funday and Run GLB?

Actually I don't think I ran posts much at all. Mostly the Drives, TE Post, and Hook.

I actually recall TE Drive being an awful play pre-Veteran. Whether it was because it was vulnerable to DAG/ZEB back then, or because it works alot better with the S* horses to run it, I dunno. I do know I occasionally tried it on and off and it never stuck in the playbook fulltime until Veteran.

You know what'd make WR Posts even cooler? If they'd change the priority from WR3/WR1/WR2/TE/HB to WR2/WR1/TE/WR3/HB. It eats away at my soul every time the QB throws it to WR3 underneath just as WR2 is breaking deep over the middle with pretty much nobody around him.

Hook's always been the definition of a perfectly decent play. It's not great, but it's never been abjectly terrible.

The issue with Hooks and WR Posts is when the TE gets held back. TE Drive is very susceptible to ZEB in earlier tiers which is why I also never fully adopted it until Pro.
