ok, so been out of the game of GLB for quite a number of years, 2010 since the last login to be exact. And want to get back into things, obviously my current players were declining so I am basically starting from scratch. Everything is as new to me today since the day I started playing in 2008. What has changed since I last played? Should i stick with GLB2 or use the Old GLB? what is the difference? Are they the same thing or are they running side by side independently.

Much appreciated.

They are not the same thing. GLB2 is independent of GLB Classic. GLB2 removes some of the headaches that went along with GLB Classic. No more lame leveling strategies where your builds suck for seasons because you have to max one attribute out, then another, then another.

Hmm interesting. I may just play on both and see which one I prefer at the end of the season. That is one of the things that used to irritate me as I could never get the hang of doing it properly. Although does that impact the time spent on the game, iirc GLB how i know it, was very time intensive thus allowing for active teams and players, I am worried that the "ease of access" in GLB2 will hamper that somewhat and make it more of a casual game rather than a time intensive game.

still plenty of ways to spend time in GLB2 - I'm sure there are active team forums / etc - plus we now have the watch parties which are fairly active every game day.

The game can be as time intensive as you want. Stobies scouting tools are awesome in both saving as well as spending more time. Owning or coordinating a team will be time intensive.

I can't speak for others. But I'm only here because of GLB2, I don't care about regular GLB.

I don't have a clue what your talking about. Havent played since 2010 so everything is completley new to myself, with regards to GLB2 anyway.

Ill give it a shot, don't knock anything until you have tried it as they say.

And you can make a player at anytime here without him being garbage.

Yes I noticed that. Thats one of the main reasons I wanted to try this out, you have to wait for a certain period to make the best possible player on GLB classic, and that means if you play outside of that time frame, your just messing around and doesn't really make you invested in that players career. Also noticed the FP cost is much cheaper here.

Yeah, we decided that GLB Classic's price point was a bit high, so we lowered it for GLB2.

Is it cheaper over the long run? I get that you can get in up front for less. I feel like I'd spend more here than on GLB1 ultimately though. Less return on retirement. Retirement comes more frequently due to shorter careers. Team Renewals are more frequent due to shorter seasons. Respecs and Boosting are fairly expensive, and again less return for shorter careers using them. Legends league exists to entice you to not retire and get a return.

Is kinda funny^^

As I want this game to survive im OK with it, but lets face it. GLB2 is much more money consuming

The same amount of flex gets you slightly more players on GLB2.
