But yet the sim can, for the first time ever this season, sub one in?? In the final minutes of a game?? And then have it run a perfect route, catch a pass perfectly, stay on balance, turn and run when guys that have CIT, Hands and Route Tech in the 80s can't even do that??? While he has, what I assume, 0?

And of course, fumble, since, you know, OL don't have grip.

I thought I'd seen all possible ways to throw away a game, but I think this one takes it.

That's a good-looking route. Wish my FB could do it that well.

Or maybe the route was so bad that the cb got juked by such a bad route lol

fix your depth chart

How do I fix the depth chart so that a position we aren't even allowed to put on the depth chart is not inserted?

Fix the sim.

you can put players in that spot on your depth chart. but no you cant put oline in there just rbs, hbs, and tes

It filled the depth chart slot with its calculated 'best fit'. You didn't have a fill for it (or the player was already filled elsewhere, due to how your depth chart is set up) so the sim decided on a reasonable choice based on build.

That doesn't make sense either, because there's a 2nd TE in the slot. If the 1st TE is winded, then put in the TE that hadn't played in 5 minutes that's probably near full breath, but it puts in a position that doesn't even belong there.

GLB doesn't make random substitutions because a player is tired. If they are the only player in the slot, they are going to play every down for the entire game. If there's a second, it's going to substitute to that player.

This situation feels like the issue a lot of GLB1 users have with goal line rushes where their HB is a CB or FS. It's usually a chain started because the sim fills depth chart slots 1 by 1 and if a player is already on the field, he can't fill another position later in the filling order. It's a user controlled error where the slot is then empty, and GLB's player choosing mechanics have always left something desired, working off of single attributes like speed or similar.

If the depth chart was entered correctly, then it's a bug, but not one that I've ever seen reported.

That's not entirely true, at least not for defense. Someone can be the only guy listed at CB2 for a 4-3 formation. And if they get tired enough, they can be subbed out if the default depth chart has different players at CB2.

I was having my run stuffing corner subbed out randomly until I realized that the default chart and the 4-3 chart had to mirror each other.
