Yeah they really should open up the S*s. I understand the Devs not wanting people to "farm" S*s. But I think the current system of earning S*s is the problem.

The current system says you earn a S* point for every season you have a DOT at a position. So if you wanted a S* QB you would make 20 QB/LB/RB DOTS sign them to a CPU rookie team. Play one year and don't boost them then retire them......and get 80% of your flex back. Next year you have a S* QB in your FREE SLOT...............

Meanwhile some agent like this guy http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/my_players who is making the coverage LB, the goal line back, the kick returner the whole O-line gets nothing for having 20+ BOOSTED VETERNS at non-glamorous back bone positions. That once retired will net back 30% flex (I feel like its actually a lot less 10%).

Most browser based games ive played tended to reward those players who were playing/paying the most in time, money or both. Here it seems different, here it seems if you cash in and conserve your flex and focus on the free side of this game (ie coaching, scout,GM) you can get a lot of gamming for a small cash investment with a large time investment.

But what about the guys who don't have the time or interest to be a coach or GM? But they do enjoy building DOTS from the RPG side and logging in to check the box scores on games and place SP's. I get a lot of PM's from many coaches and GM's to build DOTS to round out teams, many of these teams are looking for S*'s also and always in the "glamour" positions......the fun stats. I wish I could fill more S* spots on teams.....I wish I could build more DOTS at "glamour" without having to OC or own the team.

But im limited to 3 S*s just like the guy with 3 players on his entire player page.....all S*s. Meanwhile ive got a player list of over 100 . REALLY?That just doesn't add up

Simple fix: BASE S* POINTS OFF HOW MANY PLAYERS YOU HAVE REACH LEGEND FOR EACH TIER AND NO LIMIT ON S*s.

The agents who are putting DOTS into legends are not trying to "farm" S*s they are "playing" the game from the agent side. If the Devs consider that "farming" a S*. Then at least the agent is paying a higher price in flex for that right.

Just like any business 80% of your sales revenue comes from 20% of your customers. They are commonly know as the "backbone" of a business. Cater to them, find out what they like about the game and build around those things. Or ignore those folks and hope someone else doesn't deliver a product closer to their wants.

But its time to either open ways to earn more S*s or get rid or the S* all together. With these super extreme built teams, its hard to get a featured role unless your a S*, coach or owner.

I agree.. i have an entire team i made myself which in Pro now that I am considering resetting. However to do that and get 3 superstars again i will need to make a bunch of bums..let a season rot away and then make my new team for real. Seems like a strange way to go about keeping S* players under control. It would make sense to not limit the number per customer but rather teh number you can have on a team. I dont see any reason why it breaks the game if i have superstar qbs on different teams...gasp

I agree.

Superstars are important and fun in this game. They are also a 'hook' as long as they aren't made too easy to get.

Whenever my team runs its course -- if the idea is that I need to make a bunch of junk players - sign them to teams - then I can basically not log in for 60 days -- then I can get superstars back -- the chance of me continuing on in GLB2 is lessened a great deal.

If on the other hand - my team retires - and I have 3 superstars eligible to be made right away - I'm much, much more likely to go ahead and roll them for real and find teams. My involvement in the game would be 'less' than it is now -- but at least it keeps me from leaving (can't leave superstars sitting there!).

Seems to me it is reasonably good for business.

Also though - I like the idea that every superstar on your roster after 3 (or whatever) increases a salary penalty for Superstars -- want to have 9 superstars? Well each one will cost you an extra 9% salary or whatever.

If your retire s* before the last game for all your dots you get the points from the current season if it is not enough you need to make more for example i have a vet tier 2 s*. And twenty one tier two dots so if i where to retire him before the last game i will have a tier two next season

You don't need to wait an entire season to get your S*s back when resetting. You just need to retire your S*s before the last ladder game of the season. And you need to build the "bum dots" before day 24 this season, sign them to a team, then retire them after you get your S* points in the off season. Not saying I like this way, just saying how you can reset next season with S*s.

Remember that you have to build the players before day 24 in order to get a S* point. It is day 18 today so you have 6 more days.

I assume you would have to make them with the 'experienced' option checked. Is that correct?

Yes, they need to hit the first bar by end of season in addition to being made by day 24.

And they need to join a team immediately so they can get exp.
