Post about them here.

Everyone is always going on about their S* QB, HB, WR, or TE. But I rarely ever hear about S* Defenders. If you have them and they're doing well please post about them here as I'd love to see their progress, what you invested in, and how it worked out. Right now it seems like the only S*'s made are DT's, but I'm really considering a S* LB next season and want to see what everyone else has done.

So please bring out your DE's, CB's, LB's, and Safeties. Show off their stats and post replays, talk about your build goals, and the concepts driving those goals. Lets hear all the reasons why building a S* Defensive player is a good idea. Also if your S* Defensive player sucks or is under-used, post about it here too, I want to see everything.

My fav S* D player - http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/player/107346

He accidentally grabbed tunnel vision but other than that I like the build so far. Meant to be the strongside DE. Solid against the run and pass. You can see the hurry numbers are up greatly from last year and hopefully just keep climbing.

S* DT: http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/player/61815

He turned out ok I guess. I screwed up in the beginning by taking Crusher and making him a power-based build, that is really holding him back. Doesn't get many sacks, misses a shit load of tackles. He definitely never lived up to what I was hoping for. I'll try again if I ever get another 50 flex S*, the other positions at that level don't interest me.

I have a star lb and he does pretty well but he is young right now. Going to be a blitzer mainly with trash talk. Intimidation gets high easy and cans till be fast while getting run defense skills up seems to be working well right bow

44% receptions allowed rate for his career.

He's taken over games more or less by himself before.

Expected more from him at the outset, but I can't complain given how tough it is to be a CB in the GLB.

they compliment eachother very well. a lot of fumbles a decent pass breakup % and hurries and tfl's only sophomores but f it im tired of hearing how defensive those S* Offensive lovers are.

5 games 212 rush yards, 12 forced fumbles, 24 points allowed. Helps the other guys on defense.

Best Thread Ever.

I have 2 S* defenders, LB and DT, and 1 WR S*. When I reset, I will roll with 3 S* defenders by replacing my S* WR with a S* SS. I think the 2 most important positions on defense are MLB and SS. The SS will be a coverage guy with high pursuit to help out on outside runs to the strong side.

Now..as for bragging about Darth Vader....maahahahaha.

Guy is a BEAST...kiss the awards.

Last year he led the league in INTs, PDs, KL and was 3rd in tackles. This season, he is currently 2nd in the MVP race (and my non-S* SS is 3rd) and is running away with the tackles title with 44. Next guy has 29. Also leading the league with 6 FFum and the next guy has 3. Through 9 total games, he has 68 tackles and 80 assists, on track for 200 tackles and assists. Currently sitting 10th in HOF for Seasoned LBs.

He is built to perform several duties. He has high pass coverage skills and is very quick and strong. Lacks top end speed because I run 100% zone, so speed isn't really needed. This allows me to free up a ton of SPs to use on other skills. His end build will see 90 Power Tackling with Gold Monster Hit. I will also gold Eye on the Prize and silver Third Down Stopper and Zone Shark. He basically patrols the entire middle of the field, laying the wood to any Rebel Scum who dares enter his territory!

As for highlight, gut is a light up machine.

Wat. Speed is even more necessary when using zone, because your defenders are never in a good position.

I disagree. Quickness and footwork are needed due to moving around in a zone. They need to cover a small area very quickly...agility. Quick, short bursts. Speed is needed to keep up with streaking WRs.

It also depends on what type of zone they are playing. All my LBs and CBs play underneath zone, which is why they all will end with Gold Eyes on the Prize and Zone Shark. The SS and FS play over the top, and they have high top end speed.

CB and LB = very high footwork and quickness.
Safeties = very high speed and quickness.

I'm not saying quickness and footwork aren't important, but when your corner/LB is playing a short zone, has no one to cover, but stays in his zone anyway, you need speed to catch up with them and get in the play.

http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/roster/1046 . . . Defense with 7 Superstars.

My S* SS is still a work in progress. SS's in our defense draw a tough assignment. I've got to be rangy enough to play the ptiches, but I also draw 1 on 1 coverage against the TE with a lot of space to make up. Early on I struggled in coverage, but while still vulnerable there, I'm starting to make some plays.
