fwiw, that CB's build is open too. Let's critique it.
http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/player/60371
At first glance, pretty nice looking coverage build. Solid man awareness, cov tech, deflect, sprinting, and quickness. Even invested into interception. Has a pretty typically G/G/S in OaI/3DS/CD SAs. So what went wrong?
His primary issue centers around morale being in shambles. Zero investment in heart and toughness will do that to you. This makes his excellent man awareness much less excellent, so he's extremely susceptible to the head fake by this point in the game despite the nerf this offseason to head fakes. He's got pretty good sprinting and quickness, but his footwork is certainly on the low side for a veteran cornerback. He'd have been much better off with footwork at 70 IMO, and shaving 5 points each from sprinting and quickness. Conditioning is too low as well. Needs at least 10 more there. At least.
He probably should have shaved 10-20 points from interception on this build to shore up his conditioning, toughness, and heart. I imagine a bit more defensive consistency wouldn't have hurt either. Dude's already got a non-factor build for run support. This build allows him to be worn down too easily to maintain a high level of pass defense for an entire game too. You can't afford to invest into interception with a regular Cornerback. Leave that to Superstar builds that have the skill points to do it and get away with it.
Morale and Energy are important. I see some folks bitch about them as game mechanics, and then I see builds like this Cornerback. Well... YEAH, you're going to get destroyed. You don't need 80 points in heart. But you damn sure need more than 13. That goes for ANY BUILD AT ANY POSITION. You leave yourself at minimum, you're going to get raped. That fairly sexy 91/86/77/50 coverage build isn't worth a damn in the third quarter starting a play at 1 morale and 71 energy against a 100 sprinting WR with gold FS/HF at 93 energy/100 morale.

He's not an awesome CB. He's giving up 58% receptions. I strongly suspect he's got fantastic first quarter numbers, and then the shoe drops and his numbers tail off significantly the rest of the game for obvious reasons.
He's got 3 deflections in 8 games.
He's missing 36% of his tackles, again for obvious build reasons.
So he's built to be a stud coverage player and give up the running game, but he's got no durability skills to maintain a high level of play for any extended period of time, leaving him just a mediocre-to-bad coverage player shortly into a game, and a dreadful run defender.

The only time Air Raid gets on the top play board is when we throw an interception in the endzone that the other team can return 107 yards for a touchdown
My annoyance over our studly recievers not getting their due is pretty high

FUCK galithor. You tore up a CB in game, then you destroy his entire state of being. Chill bro. These plays happen all the time, but this is by far the greatest passing play I've ever seen, and any CB could have been in that position. The only hook is they fall for the head fake. The rest is all your QB and WR.
Brown throws a pass with On The Run minimizing accuracy penalties from moving ( nice, but so stupid, he was barely moving. this should be looked at by Corndog, this was a pocket pass and we all know it.)
He puts it perectly into out stretched arms, and the WR triggers CiS which keeps him at a full sprint. This is the finest pass I've ever seen, and the CB knew nothing about it. It was all the QB and WR.

He's a CB3 build that is playing CB2. Now if they used a specific Air Raid depth chart then that's fine. If he's in CB2 against a run team, that's a Depth Chart mistake.
I can't believe the number of Vet players that have no Conditioning or Heart investment. It's one thing if you mis-allocated your attributes and have bad caps. But when you don't invest anything over 5 seasons...
It's like people don't even watch plays nevertheless the whole game. Those green bars... Yeah when they get low your player turns to suckage.
That's my tip of the day.

I'm not trying to tear down the agent that built the CB. More of an educational observation to point out the critical flaw in an otherwise excellent coverage build plan. It's useful information for folks still learning stuff about how to build players.
We face plenty of CBs that don't ever bite like that on a head fake. You've got to critically fail your rolls to see a play like that happen these days, and the combination of low morale/moderate energy/low consistency provided the opportunity for it to occur.

Yup, even with bad caps you can still go to 25 on a skill. The difference from 13 -> 25 heart/toughness is rather massive, and it's dirt cheap to do.

Gal, he got juked to all fuck, once, and it was the same play your QB threw the best pass in the history of the game. That's all there was to it.
The same result happens in this play http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/132510/750639 if the throw was better, and he didn't even break his ankles on this one. Here he is burned without head fake, http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/132510/751228 but i personally think this is still broken game mechanics from corndog's big coverage patch that screwed turning in coverage. When turning happened at the start of the play it was fine. I would rather go back to that and give up short passing than long. BUT WTV.
Your WR is just that good. It's just hard to throw passes on a dime the same play your WR triggers a full speed CiS.
I just watched all of his plays and CB was doing a good job of actually shutting your WR for the most part. He has 91 man aware and rarely fell for the dozens of head fakes issued. I cant believe im defending YOUR player but stop taking away from Cleveland Brown's awesomeness, the throw was just that good, at the same time the CB ate (and one of the only times in the game) a huge headfake. Gorgeous stuff.

Mezirah does bring up a good point about OTR though. Folks assume you have to be rolling out to use it. Nope. It works anything the QB is even slightly changing his positioning. If he happens to time his throw at the moment he's also repositioning, the On the Run helps you eliminate whatever penalty that positioning shift is causing to the throw.
I love On the Run. It's my favorite passing Special Ability and Cleveland's build is catered to it.
