Up till this season, it seems the only way to move the ball with any consistency was to run. Im seeing more and more that Rookie teams are successfully passing, and doing it well might I add. I've had Passing teams before in Rookie and was lucky to be close to 50% completion rate...and I mean lucky. Now I have a team that was built for the run, and cant moce the ball to save my life. Im sure my playcalling plays an integral role in that as well, but it just seems that the Passing game has been boosted greatly and I didnt see anything on the changelog of it. Anyone else have any input on this?

There is some truth to that statement...
Could also just be good smart build planning.
Wouldnt say its too huge a difference but it is a little more giving from what ive seen.

I think it is harder to run the ball now due to the buff in break block. DLmen are breaking blocks at the LOS like crazy now so running up the middle is almost useless.
I think its a meta thing, offense will always lead the way and defenses catch up. So basically defenses are built more now to stop the run, weak against the pass, where in the past it was all about the pass rush, leaving weak against the run.
Some teams just do well against others, and some don't. But in a global meta theme I would say defenses are trying to stop the run leaving weak against the pass currently.

I think that this ^^^ has also had an impact, alongside the Break Block Buff and teams being built specifically to stop the run, passing is the season 8 Meta, no doubt in season 9 it will be easier to run...again!

I can remember where all you had to do is run ZEB in Rookie against a pass and it was about 80% a sack....Now Offenses are picking up the blocks much better and the QB is releasing faster. But I wouldnt have thought the jump would have been so great

I have noticed the increase in rookie passing. Honestly in the leagues I'm in all pass or balance is dominant. Not many all run teams and the run defense is overplayed so the run teams are struggling.

Agree passing in Rookie seems noticeably better than my last run through Rookie a couple seasons ago. And that goes for both my (limited) passing and my opponents'.
