I won't be able to do another of these for awhile. Taking off work for christmas week. Probably only checking in during that time and making an occasional post here and there.

#1 New Jersey Generals vs #9 Stark Dire Wolves
- Stark's playing more competitive ball this season. They've integrated some superstars into the roster, and they're playing at a higher level due to it. Possibly a team that can hang around the bottom half of the top 10 this season. New Jersey has been top 5 caliber for awhile. They fought through the top 10 purge by Season 2 teams last season fairly admirably. At 4-1, probably about where they should be. No shame in a close loss to Harrisonburg. I'd expect them to beat Stark, but it's no gimme with the talent Stark is fielding now. I'm picking New Jersey due to their excellent coordination.

#2 Portland Ronin vs #7 Dead at Seasons End
- Romo should've folded his team. Must have been an auto-renewal error or something? Ronin win by at least 100.

#3 Air Raid vs #21 Seneca Hands of Fate
- Air Raid takes a dip towards the bottom of the target list. Seneca's off to a decent start to the season, but they're going to get crushed here. Struggling with Louisiana is generally a bad omen for facing Air Raid.

Game of the Week
#4 The Salty Runback vs #5Harrisonburg Bulldogs
- This is a pretty big matchup for future top 5 implications. Both teams off to 5-0 starts. Salty is playing excellent defense, though so far against a fairly light schedule. Harrisonburg has been lighting up the scoreboard also against a generally light schedule. The schedule suddenly gets tougher this week though. Huge game for top 5 positioning early this season.

#6 Minnesota Stunners vs #23 Rocky Mountain Reapers
- Minnesota should cruise to a victory here. They've actually lost a game already, dropping one to fellow Season 3 team, MMArmy. That was pretty interesting. TxSteve should probably fire Stobie. That defense hasn't been up to standard this season

#8 Brisbane Bogans vs #12 Legacy
- How long can inactive Brisbane hang on? I'm guessing not much longer. The entire team is low chem. There's Legend players and professional players on the roster. They're getting killed in slightly less gruesome fashion than Romo's CPU team. Legacy wins this one handily.

#10 Tampa Piranhas vs #26 MMArmy Can Crushers
-MMArmy is likely a future top 10 team by seasons end. Tampa is low on chemistry, and has some Legends players on the roster. They're on their way out of the top 10, and frankly, probably the top 20. This team is a shell of it's former top 5 glory. I blame the artist formerly known as Xavori, but now known as Galactic Empire. MMArmy wins big.

The top 10 needs to finish purging romo, thunderoo, and Larssen's teams. Should be much more interesting after that. There's a few good teams lurking that deserve to be up here. LSP, Andes, CK, Ellix, and MMArmy are probably my top picks to challenge for top 10 spots from the outside currently. Rusty's Ruins might be there too. Very low chemistry team at the moment, and BHall's mentioned that he expects his team to be better this season. Legacy's looked pretty competitive too this season. I also think D'Haran or the Corrupt Politicians could present some interesting ladder matchups for top 10 teams later this season, but neither are likely close enough to get into the top 10 themselves starting out. D'Haran's struggled a bit with some modest competition so far too.

I wish Galactic Empire was as entertaining as Xavori

Remember when Tampa was like #2 around season 4 or so? And then Xav took over their DC job. And then they proceeded to tank? Those were hilarious times on the forums.

That wasn't Tampa.... Tampa has always been ran by Larssen, I think your thinking of another team, can't quite remember who, but wasn't Tampa.

Yeah at that point I just didn't have the time to scout, gameplan, watch other people's games and try to predict their behavior due to workload so I had to find someone active to take over for the rest of that season. I also had to write down what I was thinking when gameplanning to see if it worked or not against a certain team. You also can't just use a scouting tool because of morale and how it plays a role in skewing surface level stats in this game.

I also only owned a few of the poeple on my team and there were many inactives/people who didn't apply points in time and also not the best builds so I can't autopilot playbooks and hope to win against the best teams day in and day out.

no shame in a close loss to new jersey. If anything, it's proof stark is playing at a very high level this season.
