Has anyone ever paid attention to whether the vet to legend transition earns S* points?

I was counting on having more points due to the sheer number of players I have, but all my vet and legend players weren't contributing, so I have to make four new top tier players for a season to get the points.
Then I'm going to retire them next season, thus screwing rookie teams out of the use of my players in sophomore. Kind of a shitty system, but I don't need them going forward... I just need one season out of them, so whoever signs them are going to have to deal with losing players next season.

S* wasn't well thought out, give it 40 more seasons before Bort realizes it though, and thinks about fixing it.
