So im sitting on 5000+ points on my rookie TE. Asked to be a blocking TE on a run first team ive obliged, but he has become terrible and Im not sure where to spend the points. Im in or about the 30s with run/pass block power, toughness, awareness. Some build into relevant awareness, footwork, balance.

Im getting caked a dozen times a game.

Do I follow an o-line build and try to keep myself from getting flatted every play? Or do I build into someone who can lead block and move to the outside better? Im getting beat there as well. Would most owners prefer the TE that can get outside and block or the one that powers through?

Im sure in the future I can build into both but for now I think focusing is best.

It would help if you opened his build. But I notice you didn't mention run blocking technique. Run blocking power won't be as useful if you don't win the technique part first.

Pass blocking is a waste on TEs.

Woops. My stats are opened up now. I'm sure its a mess but I have the points stacked to fix it, at least for now.

Didn't know that. I don't know the plays well enough to know if TEs are ever used for blocking positions in pass plays or if they ever go out.

At the end of the season you can respec him though and go all in run stuff

as others have said - you're too balanced in the skills. You should be approaching 50 in run block tech and run block power by now --which makes a big difference.

what about lead block aware / run block aware / etc? Well watch the games and nudge those up as you see him failing awareness checks (running past blockers / not finding who to block next / etc).

But ya - fear not - you can respec him at seasons end...or re-roll a TE now if the TE you're on will take the chem hit this season or next (and save your free respec)
