I feel like we haven't had a thread since Cirop was doing Sophomore write ups. I guess we are in the middle child stage. I'm pretty bored, so here's a little breakdown of the top 10 from what I've seen recently. It'll also be nice to have a thread so we can gloat and trash talk
Let's look at the ladder rankings:
1. (77) The Boogie Men - Still on top of the ladder. Not sure if DD2 ever dethroned them, but I'm pretty sure they have held the crown since rookie. They finished last season on an off note, taking a first round lost to the Galaxy Aces, taking away their perfect trophy case. They've lost 3 times already this season (un-Boogie Men-like), the first one was a fluke, the second one was to the #4 team in Pro, and a slip up against SER Snoozers. They are outside of the playoff picture right now, but all things considered, they are still the best team at this level and are capable of blowing out any team at any time.
2. (79) Run GLB - Closing in on The Boogie Men, but still have a lot of work to do. They ended last season winning Hydrogen, but suffered a pretty lob-sided defeat to The Boogie Men, and played sub-par prior to the playoffs. This season, they lost just once, to Eastern European Alliance, the #7 team in Pro. They have some great wins against two top ten pro teams, the Compton Con Men and the DC Corrupt Politicians. They did almost get upset by The Honey Badgers in a league game, so they are very vulnerable, but do have a shot at dethroning The Boogie Men if they keep up the pace.
3. (83) Doinitin Djibouti 2.0 - They closed last season with a Helium championship, but a loss to the Boogie Men in their final ladder game, and in turn the #2 spot in the ladder. They lost their only 3 games in a row (unlike them), 2 of them against pro teams and the other against the Alaskan Assassins. All of their losses were tight games, but they did handle the #4 team in our tier I've Never Had Sex fairly easily. However, they do have some work to do still as far as ladder ranking as they are 6 spots away from TBM for the throne.
4. (84) I've Never Had Sex - After losing in the first round of the playoffs last season to the BOOBs, the Kings of the QB rushing game (for now), are still Virgins. 3 tough losses this season, almost upsetting the #8 Pro team. They have a win against a Pro team the Rhode Island Falcons, but the Falcons have been awful (just 3-8 on the season). They are a tough task for teams who struggle against the run, and still posse a threat to the throne, and they do have a chance to finally get a top 3 trophy.
5. (88) Portland Storm - They have been running up the ladder. After winning Lithium last season, they have been playing pretty damn well. All three of their losses are against Pro teams. They do have a win against the #12 Pro team the Tusken Raiders to add to their resume. They have some work to still do as far as the ladder is concerned. Could they continue to work their way up into the top 3, or are they a class behind?
6. (89) Alaskan Assassins - Similar scenerio as the Storm, although they have been stuck in right around 6th in the ladder for a while now. Last season ended with a loss in the championship game to DD2. This season they almost pulled off a huge win against the now #3 in pro D'Haran Empire. Their other two losses were one to a Pro team, and the other to the Galaxy Aces (#12 in our tier). Can they finally take a step into the top 5 in the ladder (and get a trophy), or are they planted at #6?
7. (91) BO( . )( . )OBS! - After losing in the title game to Run GLB last season, the BOOBS are doing what they do. Running all over teams that can't stop Super Gamble. They have an impressive win over #11 in pro LUELinks LUEshis. Their two losses came one from a Pro team, and the other to the Virgins (who they will probably go on and beat in the playoffs lol). I'm not sold on them jumping into the top 5 yet, but if peeti gives some effort...it could happen.
8. (92) Doge All Go - Free....Free Falling... After losing in the title game to the Galaxy Aces, they fell out out of the top 5 of the ladder for the first time since rookie. They went from being the best team without a title, to the panic button. Their all zone defense could be the root of their concern, as Engage Eight isn't a pretty play call any longer lol. After beating up Rapper's Delight to start the season, they haven't look good. Surely they won't fall out of the top ten, but the road back to the top 5 will be an uphill journey.
9. (93) Creek Valley Beast - After winning lol Iron last season, they were looking good, before they slipped against the Marauders today (#26 in our tier). Every other loss is defensible, but they haven't really dominated anyone thus far. Top ten team sure, but if they want to make a push up the ladder they'll have to step it up.
10. (94) Denver Nightmares - After missing the playoffs last season, Denver started the season with two tough losses (Pro team and Run GLB). Now their owner has gone inactive, and they are trending water right now until he returns.

Hydrogen - 5
