Mr. Reliable gives you the balance bonus, and Brace for Impact doesn't have restrictions as to where it can fire. What are the arguments for each side as to which one is better, if the style of runner matters for this discussion, i'm most interested in a Pwr HB. Thanks all!

Somewhere Corndog is saying he wants to re-vamp/adjust SA's because some are so obviously "you must take them" -- and others are underpowered.
Mentions that Mr. Reliable fires way too much....and others like Shed Block are underpowered.
First said he was hoping to get to it this offseason -- but it might not happen until next offseason because of things and stuff.

If they need to nerf SAs, nerf Showboat. That thing is ridiculous. It fires EVERY time and kills your offensive moral.

That's exactly what it's supposed to do.

Showboat is less of a problem to deal with when you get to higher tiers. It's still a solid SA, but not overpowered like it is in rookie/sophomore.

a good way to balance that would be to not have showboat fire 100% at bronze/silver

That instantly makes it untakeable.
Sure your team might get 140 sacks in 30 games in Rookie, but each individual player is spreading that load out.
If Showboat fired less than 100% of the time, I wouldn't take it. Taking it means that you cannot silver your second SA until almost the end of Sophomore. Instead, you are going to see teams taking the SAs that actually lead to more TFLs and sacks.
Right now, there is a trade-off: you take Showboat and the impact of your sacks and TFLs is magnified or you take FS, TV, SC, MH and make it more likely that your team gets the sack/TFL/FF.

Showboat is definitely not op. Most rookie teams morale and conditioning is in the tank by the second half no matter what SAs are taken. And the morale penalty at bronze is quite small.
You know an SA Is op when its basically required to get first or your build really suffers (I.e. mr. Reliable not showboat)

So your saying you take it because it does fire 100%? Wouldn't be stupid if you didn't, thus the reason it shouldn't fire 100% because frankly it should be an attribute and a choice rather than ldo if you don't take it your stupid.

His argument is that it's not a ldo choice for defenders, but that if it was less than 100% he would never take it. Mr. Reliable is a much more ldo first SA choice. First step and spin cycle are solid alternatives to showboat depending on what position is being talked about. If you are getting sacked enough for the morale penalty to really accumulate you've probably lost no matter what SAs the defenders have.

Just because I make the choice to take it doesn't mean that it is a ldo SA.
There are a lot of teams with great success blitzing and defending who have made other choices.
TBH, I actually reset it on a lot of my bots after rookie, because getting the silver SA in something else has more value in Soph.
My top sack getting player averages about 3.5 sacks per game. If showboat wasn't firing on 100% of those, I'd for sure be taking silver tunnel vision or first step instead, because I don't want an SA that fires once a game or less preventing me from taking silver in an SA that will actually get me to the QB.
