Warrior General Games

How is it that many rookie teams are in the low 200's and many are in the high 200's? Shouldn't they all be ranked the same in tier and overall? Seems the reset code didn't quite work?

What seemed worse about it there are sophomore teams below some of those low 200 rookie teams.

I still don't get why an ELO score is not posted on the screen, considering that item alone will solve so many of the WHY questions and possibly help find issues like this, if it is one?

I would suspect the separation of rookie ladder ranks has to do with resetting teams, as all new teams start at bottom but resetted teams started higher up.

Definitely seems to be something off.

I agree....why not post the ELO unless they know the ELO formula is ridiculously messed up and it will be obvious to everyone

did some of them play a game before you looked?

just checked from what i can see all rookie teams that haven't played is tied at 265 so i can't find the problem?

Now ranked #271

Tied our first game 0-0.....we deserve to be ranked low.

This was as of yesterday rankings so yah no games. I believe I know the issue and probably is just a before games are played issue as ELO # might be the same for all, but wouldn't the tier ranking be the same if that were true. Seems as if all the resetted teams were set as #1 and all new teams #39 in tier.

So do resetted teams start with 1001 elo and new 1000, how else do you explain that all rookie teams are not tied for #1 or what ever #, but all tied before a game is played?

Look at it this way, #48 was essentially #48 in the veteran tier, your #29 in rookie, its an improvement!

It's always generally taken rookie about 5-6 ladder games to really start getting sorted out into something resembling a real pecking order.

i think that the teams where reset before new teams where made and that's why they have been longer at the rank and all the new teams are treated as just arrived and therefor lower then the old teams in an internal rank on same ELO

so or so...why is this so screwed?^^

When I checked yesterday it was fine - there were only three ranks of teams, winners, losers, and ties+people who hadn't played.

I also agree that the elo rating should be public but I've given up on that fight.

It worked itself out, its just the 'glitch' of a starting point that seems off, but under the covers no issues.

It was more likely a caching issue since the teams were "added" at different times.
