I was bored so I decided to go through and give my prediction on what the final records will be and the playoff matchups. This is just my opinion based on what I've seen so far this season. Lets hear your thoughts on this. Here goes:

1. The Last Gunfighters of Texas, (16-0)
The Gunfighters are stacked and have depth at every position. They have most of their tough schedule out of the way, and it appears only the Eagles will give them a tough time from here on out. Although the away game at the Dune Hoppers could be a potential trap game. They have great GMs and they know how to gameplan. They are too good and could have a serious shot at 20-0. Easy pick here.

2. Cleveland Bombers, (15-1)
The Bombers are flyin' high on an 8 game win streak after an early season loss to Texas. Expect them to make it a 14 game win streak. The Eagles game will be tough, but I think with the home field advantage and *arguably* the better Gms, they can outgameplan Casablanca.

3. Casablanca Golden Eagles, (13-3)
Casablanca is a very good team and they know how to win the big game. However, they play 2 late season games against the #1 and #2 teams in Elephant, and these will be two tough hard-fought matchups. If they can win 1/2 that would be good enough. However, assuming they lose those two and win the rest, 13-3 is an exceptional record as well.

4. Carthage Mercenaries, (12-4)
With three losses to the best three teams in Elephant, Carthage is right behind the Big 3 in the standings. They will win out until July 13, where they have to play their season finale against Lion's equivelent of Texas, the Tanzanian Morning Wood. Tanzanian is 10-0, and they could easily go 16-0. Expect Carthage to lose this one, and a 12-4 finish is possible.

5. Egypt Dragons, (12-4)
After an early season collapse in which they struggled to find their offensive rhythm as they opened with the toughest schedule of Elephant, they will play the easiest remaining schedule of Elephant as well. Expect them to finish on a 9 game win streak, although Algeria is a possible trap game for them. If they do finish with an identical record to Carthage, Carthage gets the nod at #4 as they beat the Dragons in the head to head matchup 33-21 earlier this season.

6. Mozambique Terror Squad, (11-5)
These guys have been relatively inconsistent on offense all season, however have been able to hang with the big boys(a TD to Texas and 9 pts to Cleveland). They have a tough road game at Casablanca, but other than that they shouldn't have problems.

7. Congo Cripplers, (9-7)
A good team that started well at 4-0 but have since lost 4/6 games. They could lose to Carthage and Mozambique, and the Rwanda game could mean the difference between 10 wins or 9. Either way, I don't see them missing the playoffs.

8. Algeria Dune Hoppers, (9-7)
They've been able to talk the talk, but can they walk the walk? After a superb 7-2 start(arguably against lesser competition), they have to play Cleveland, Texas, Egypt, and Zanzibar in 4 out of their last 5 games. Assuming they lose all of them, and win against Ethiopia and P-Town, they would be 9-7, and Congo would get the nod at #7 as Congo beat Algeria 30-16 in regular season play.

Playoff matchups:

(1)The Last Gunfighters of Texas
vs.
(8)Algeria Dune Hoppers
This would be interesting to see, and we will see in a few days how Algeria can hang with the best team in Elephant.

(3)Casablanca Golden Eagles
vs.
(6)Mozambique Terror Squad
Again, another yet to be seen matchup in the regular season. I would predict an Eagles victory, but who knows? In this league, anything can happen.

(4)Carthage Mercenaries
vs.
(5)Egypt Dragons
After a 21-33 home loss to Carthage, this will be a revenge game for Egypt. Can Egypt go on the road and win their first playoff game? Or will Carthage win again? It all depends on who is the more consistent football team.

(2)Cleveland Bombers
vs.
(7)Congo Cripplers
After a 33-3 road win against Congo with the first go-around, the Bombers will be ready to make it 2 against them and Congo will be anxious for revenge. They will have to travel to Cleveland this time. Could be a good game.

Well guys, what do ya think? Lets hear your thoughts, and maybe someone could get one of these going for Lion. I don't really follow Lion so I don't think I would have done an accurate representation of it.

Pretty good but I see Casablanca beating Cleveland. Morning Wood is going to be a tough game(Why do we have the toughest NC game). Also,I really dont want to play you guys in the first round. One thing I know though is dont take anyone lightly. Congo could be a tough one this week.

Pretty good write up. Week 14 and week 15 is going to be a tough stretch for Casablanca. In my opinion it could really go either way in either of those games. Algeria and Congo would have some definite jet lag when it comes to those playoff games if it's how everything plays out.

Aye, tough stretch, indeed, I'm still in disbelief we survived Algeria.

We'll have our hands full with you and Texas back to back. Teams are pretty evenly matched so it should be a great two games.

On a personal note, I'm interested in The Mookie/ Whale match up.

Whale Shark- This species, despite its enormous size, does not pose any significant danger to humans. It is a frequently cited example when educating the public about the popular misconceptions of all sharks as "man-eaters". They are actually quite gentle and can be playful with divers.

Nice job there...I was literally shocked to see Algeria getting as good of reviews from you as we did. I'm not so sure about that Texas game anymore, due to the crumbling of our entire team the past game vs the Golden Eagles, but we still hope to show up and put up a fight

Ya, nice write up. I always enjoy reading these kind of threads.

I must disagree on the "stacked" part for Texas though. Its more a case of "doing more with what you have", so kudos to austin and co.

yeah Algeria can attest to that shiz...that little bastidge was doing to my team what I've been wanting our HB to do to other teams...actually turn UP THE FIELD when he sees about 20 yards wide open on a pitch to the outside instead of charging right for the CB being blocked by a WR, who inevitably makes the tackle hehe

Whale Shark, you're one of those guys who I'd love to see the build on to see if my theory of high vision means a great cutting HB is true or not...any chance to either see the build, or get a nod or shake of the head on this?
