Hello, I'm trying to find out if this is normal for now, or if it's a problem. I just got a team and want to start signing players, it's a rookie team, so I've tried to sign rookie level players, but I can't sign anyone, do these players have to be brand spanking new to sign, or can they just be in the rookie level, or is this a problem on my end? Thanks

They have to be "Brand Spanking New" Level 0 without ever having played a game.
I would also turn on the "auto cut CPU option"

I dunno William78 I'm recruiting for a rookie team as we speak and I'm getting the message This player is over the level cap for the selected team. This is while I'm also getting the message This player hasn't played a game yet. When looking at that players stat line.

Was the player created as an "experienced" player?

Also, "low" contracts suck, they build team chemistry so slow, it's not worth having players signed on low contracts, unless you really have to. You should be able to sign 42 players with High/Medium contracts.

If you're loading up on Superstars, it's a solid idea to sign EVERYONE low during the preseason, then re-do the contracts to almost all mediums once you've got everyone in. But in general, yes, avoid playing games with any low contracts if you can.
