Today's Cat Herder game would have done it.

Our QB who has been 55-60% all season, and 73% in her last game, threw for 19.2% today.

Wide open receivers dropped passes. If they did catch, it was an almost certain knock free.

Back when I played, I could have completed 19% of my passes, and I was a d lineman.

There is no way a game like that should be possible.

(oh, as for why I decided it was my last season already...defensive playcalling is pointless. You can have the right D called, and it's all about whether a WR makes their Catch In Traffic role or a back makes their evade/power roll which will completely invalidate your D call. And that's when you get the D called that you want. All season long I've watched the sim call outside blitzes when I have 100% inside run tactics. With real football back to compare it to, the sim just looks horrible. Sorry, Corny, but it's true. This is a bad, way too expensive game. Maybe you'll get it fixed. Maybe Might Brawlers will be much better. I wish you luck.)

So the game is wrong because you can't stop someone but you are quitting today because you couldn't complete a pass?

I could make a really long post about all the stuff that is wrong with the game. You'd agree with most of it.

Run GLB didn't stop our offense. If they'd called some new gameplan that worked really well for them, I'd be congratulating them. RNG stopped our offense. And it was way over the top RNG. I'm not interested in winning or losing based on dice rolls. If I wanted that, I'd go play craps where I could actually be sure of the odds before I rolled and have the possibility of making money if I get lucky.

As for my defensive playcalling, nothing I said is unique to me, nor to this season. The difference is I'm just tired of playing GLB2 and kinda want to play an actual football sim. It happens. I suspect it's not the end of the world for WGG, and really, I don't think they care much about the game at all, let alone why people quit playing.

well doesn't help your QB has almost no energy all game and quickly get's moral killed

this is the play that caused it
http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/93104/2754526

that cake destroyed his energy and hit for like 20 moral, guess you don't have toughness

and yes he missed like 2 open receivers but when a TE has 1 moral and the QB has 1 moral it's not an open case catch

you got moral spiraled badly that's why he did so bad, the QB blocking is an issue i talked about in bugs back in season 2 i think but apparently people feel that the QB should block not stay still and save energy and avoid getting caked

i would say there may be a case of fix your build in this

No. That's not fix your build. That's fix the stupidity of the sim.

Hey, if Peyton Manning starts getting pancaked after pitching a ball to a back because he decided to block a backside defender who had no chance to make a play, then maybe I'll consider the sim not idiotic. In the meantime, I have other games to play and real football to watch.

Xav - I'm sorry to see you go - and even though I often found you to be annoying as all get out -- the forums were much more interesting when you were involved in the game (and involved at seasoned level).

While I agree that the QB should not be blocking there (how hard could it be to change the program so the QB just stands still after a hand off?) - would you be willing to share the conditioning of that QB? I'm guessing 23?

She's got 30 conditioning. But only 20 heart and 13 toughness. The tenative plan had been to work more on those stats (con and heart in particular) with the year end boosts. It's been hard to justify skimping on her passing stats during the season though. Less of the awarenesses would have lead to more sacks, which wouldn't have helped the whole morale thing. Less accuracy and technique ... well, that didn't seem like a good idea. And pass power actually mattered this season, so she needed at least *some* of that.

there is an argument for having 2 qbs at lower levels to help offset that, if one tanks on morale the other can come in and pitch relief

we could do that next season if we still have a team

Obviously he shouldn't care to share his build if he is out the door. Are there flaws? Yes. Sad part is there is no real competition out there to produce a high quality game, they can sort of let things slide until it becomes a big issue.
