I started to notice over the last month or so, my kicker has gotten WORSE.

After making 69% of my FGs last season, and being the #1 HoF in my level (seasoned), my guy now is barely over 50%, even though I haven't extended range out at all, and my guys attributes have improved. If no changes have been made, what else could be in play for this happening?

Do you have streaky? Streaky + more longer FG attempts could be a good explanation. Streaky is a really brutal SA, one that means a team has to be super careful. I don't recommend it.

Last 30/49 = 61.22%
This 33/49 = 67.34%

So I would say probably no nothing has changed as my team's performance is actually worse this year. To be pointed out though he only kicks FG's so if you got your guy on Kickoffs, energy will play a roll in that or any morale decreasing actions during a kickoff.

Kickers are broken.


Punters: kick the ball way too far even at modest levels (as someone else pointed out in the Adios thread)



Kickers: shorter range field goals should be a higher make rate....even at low levels. - and the difference as we advance should be longer ranges with a higher success rate. I don't really think that is the way it is currently working.

I have no streaky SAs

I'm running chip shot x1, celebration x2, laces out x2

I also never use him for kickoffs, and haven't since rookie season



so none of what you listed above are issues. I wouldn't have bothered posting a thread if numbers were slightly worse, but 50% to 63% to 69% then down to 51% with no kick tactic changes is worrisome.

I was wondering the same thing about whether field goal kicking was nerferd this season.

Our kicker was great last season: 41/52 = 78.8%
But this season he has struggled a bit: 27/40 = 67.5%

Maybe it's just random numbers working themselves out but it's been noticeable (he doesn't have streaky either).

I use my K on kickoffs and he is having his best season as a kicker.

31/37 = 83.5%

Our kicker's missed more this season as well. But his range is increasing too, and I let him go for whatever the sim will allow him to go for.

My kicker kicked 14/19 last season, and has made 10/13 this season. He's also kicked a perfect 151/151 extra points this season, which is pretty awesome.

My kicker, currently Journeyman went from 72% last season to 56% this season. Even if you cut out the 50+ FGs his numbers are still down (73% vs 58%). Something definitely seems weird.

I don't think anything has changed. I think you guys are just victims of small sample sizes and RNG. The HOF is littered with Kickers who are doing better this season than last.

The hurries are real

Kicking must be bad, because my kicker got cut by the Bulls midseason after going 36/40 for a guy who has gone 26/42. But the new kicker is a Superstar, so he must be better.

I mean, the only thing wrong with my kicker is that I took Gold Laces Out and I've never once kicked a FG when that SA could activate.

(As a side note, I think the SA should activate if you are down by 3 all the way through being up by 6)

But then again I did move his max back to 68 yards this season.

...but 7/18 for 30-39 yarders, 8/15 for 40-49 yarders? How is it harder to make a 39 yarder than a 49 yarder?

I'm a Saskatchewan Roughriders fan, and I've seen our kicker hit from over 50 yards and I've seen him miss from 25. Fucking IRL RNG.
