If you start with tunnel vision, what ability would you go for second? It's either Showboat, Beat Down, or Monster Hit. Thinking Showboat.

Out of those choices definitely showboat in my opinion. Id go showboat before tunnel vision. I also prefer something like first step or trash talk instead of tunnel vision for a LB but that wasn't your question.

Closing speed, too, if you've got some sprinting - it can turn an 80 yard TD into a 20 yard gain.

idk if I'd go tunnel vision on a LB, the hit to Blitz Awareness will leave your guys helpless on outside pitches. I'd go first step/showboat

ABSOLUTELY DONT GO TUNNEL VISION, your guys will get toasted on outside runs. Only use Tunnel vision on DEs (or mayyyybe DTs)
showboat, trash talk, first step for blitzers... and I know how to build Blitzing LBs

Defense hall of fame will always be rookies and sophmores at the top because it's really easy for LB's who go pure sprinting to be godlike / too specialized for low level offensive line builds (and QB's with no pocket awareness) that haven't developed
on Zorp in season 2 rookie we were picking up 15-20 sacks a game easy, at minimum

I'm not sure it is as bad this season with the rattled mechanic.

You wont be revcaking players often.. where as you will be blitzing often, provided thats how your dc plans to use your guy

Beat Down is fine for DTs and maybe even DEs (depends on build and role), but for Rookie, LBs get an overwhelming amount of the sacks and thus should have Showboat.

How many rev cakes have you had? If you aren't getting 50 or more a season, ask yourself if Beat Down will fire often enough.

And... beat down only impacts the player you're revcaking. Showboat will hammer the entire offense with morale, and buff your entire defense at the same time.

Trash talk doesn't work against Air Raid
Cleveland and his stupid overkill on toughness... only team I've never been able to trash talk the QB

If he's got overkill on toughness, then trash talk is insanely cheap to make irrelevant. Still, it doesn't fire that often anyhow, and you've blitzed us less often in recent matchups for fewer chances to fire it.
