I would actually think about logigng on to watch a live playcall game, especially if you could chat with your teammates somehow through the website during the game
Top 2 teams from each league in a tier getting invited to a live tournament (in the offseason with rosters snapshotted from the last day of the season?) would be so much more exciting than basically anything that happens in this game it's insane

Yup. Bort seemed pretty excited about it. Then all we got was Shirts vs. Skins.

From who? The GLB1 hates GLB2 nut jobs?

Adding a big update, only to be used in scrims, could be considered a waste of ressources. It might lead to more revenue through scrims, but the benfit from implenting it probably wouldnt outweigh the negative impact of concentrating on only one big problem instead of fixing some stuff here an there. I think, to get it running with an acceptable amount of bugs would take seasons. Without being able to use it in real games it makes no sense and having a life playcalling feature for real games seems to be problematic...
==> no life playcalling makes perfect sense to me from a GLB standpoint of view...
Dont get me wrong. As a player I would love to see that kind of feature, but I guess we will never get that. Maybe for GLB 3 or 5

Well, once the feature is working, it could certainly be used for much more than scrims. Tourneys or leagues could be run using that feature.
Of course, before we get anything like this, I'd like to get a DAI/D-Playbook that makes more sense.

Thats what I mean. There are so many little things, new and old bugs that have to be fixed, before they start such a big project. Additionally, I dont think WG has the capacity to execute such a project in a reasonable amount of time...

Seems like a lot of unnecessary work for really unimportant games. Would rather see more game refining than a lot of wasted time putting together something like that.

I love the idea of live playcalling. I hate the idea of live playcalling being used for meaningful games, especially those that are randomly scheduled.
