Others may disagree, but if it was me I would replace them. There's always the chance that the agent comes back, but if he doesn't you are missing out on a lot of SP's and you have players that will eventually need to be replaced. I would rather sign new players and start building the chemistry with them sooner rather than later.

chemistry for a player starts at zero when joining a new team.

Yep, I feel the same. I usually give 10 days (which is 3 sets of games without points being spent aka 4500 points). If you think about it, that's 500 points more than a boosted player. So you can get an unboosted player and still be 500 points ahead, minus the chemistry hit. Only this way they're building chemistry sooner and are allocating points into their players still.

No matter what, if you replace the player, you're going to take a chemistry hit.

10 days of inactivity works out to about 4500 skill points unspent, being unused by your inactive player. If you can find a player, even unboosted, they are caught up to your inactive and better.

Pretty much, unless you know the person is coming back, cut the player and move on after the ten day point. I just cut a friend's player, he hit 14 days inactive this morning, the missing skill points amount for a lot more than the chemistry hit.

Basically saying is that if you let an agent go 10 days inactive they are missing out on 4500 points to spend. You could even sign a non boosted dot which the difference there is 4000 for boosting, and you still are 500 points ahead of an inactive player. Meaning if that original player keeps inactive your points differential will grow. Your best bet is to either find a dot that can fill the spot that is boosted, or create one if you are rookie that is already experienced so you don't lose out. Personally you can sign a CPU just to fill and find a longer term toon to fill so that you don't have to worry about chem in the season following.

I wait exactly seven days, unless the player posted before he went saying "I'm going on vacation, etc.."

ok so i had a guy go inactive and our team is in good record

need advice:

i had 2 backup ot's and a backup g

now tht i only have a starting o line is it better to play them the whole game or sign those 3 oline replacements even if they dont sp boost with the chemistry hit im already taking?

what should i do?

should i keep my starting oline (no subs)

or take in the non boosted (3) oline guys for sub purposes and conditioning?

lol not sure you need a new thread for this but you are going to need o-line subs eventually.

The reason people were saying you should look for replacements now instead of later is to let them build chemistry by being on the roster now rather than starting to do that next season.
