This, right here, is what's wrong with this game.

Say's the person who ripped on others for not welcoming new players with open arms. Congrats!

As a non-Superstar you are only going to get 15 AP points, so that means you can get 2 3-Star abilities and 1 2-Star. Don't add anymore Abilities and use the 3 you have now. For a QB, especially one that takes all the snaps you need to pump Conditioning up. Also, that is probably enough points into Drop Back Power and Grip until you run out of places to put points elsewhere. IMO, the most important abilities for a QB are Accuracy, Pass Awareness, Pass Tech, Pass Power, and Pass Consistency in that order. They are a lot of better QB builders out there than me so other people may differ in opinion.

I do t necessarily agree with the order of importance that para posted but those skills are all good to put into. If you check my posting ins on the FAQ thread on drop back grip you will find that grip and power aren't the best options currently but who knows what Corndog does to the sim from here on out. I would definitely keep with the sa's you have like para mentioned. Don't stray and thin yourself out too much.

In terms of what laggo has to say about the build being wrong I disagree. I really don't see a wrong direction for a qb at the stage this guy is at. A lot of claims will be made but I've seen at least 30 qb's that will prove their claims to be sort of lol. All depends on what he's working with around him and who is oc'ing the player as well.

just weird to have a minus to pass power cost when you have it maxed at 76

I'm not sure this relates to the build of the player at all

I meant in that he pretty much built a balanced QB putting points into what 'seems like it would make sense' and taking traits based on 'what sounds good' and that's the player you end up with. The relationship between attributes and your caps and what that means to your build is not stated clearly enough at the onset. If I was a completely new player to the game, all of his decisions seem to make some kind of sense. I can understand thinking footwork might help. I can understand putting points into dropback grip and dropback power because why would they be passing stats if they didn't help? I can understand 4 agility (the real backbreaker of this build) because what pocket QB's do you think of when you think of 'agile'?

It's not a knock on him so much as a knock on the lack of information available and how misleading (and deterministic to the ultimate effectiveness of your build) your initial attributes are.

Nobody here wants to say it but he can never fix that player and that player was broken from the moment it was created. No journeyman or seasoned OC is looking at a 54 pass technique cap smiling. It's hard enough to find a human team in the mid-levels as it is, even for by-the-book perfectly built but not superstar quarterbacks. The game will only get increasingly hard for that player (in terms of finding minutes on a real human-owned and operated team, let alone a competitive one).

It's just really easy to break your player from day 1, and most of the reason why it's so easy is just because what relates to what is not communicated effectively enough (at least in terms of attributes to your caps, which is the big make-or-break part of character building).

Kind of related and a bit off topic at the same time, but I cannot stress enough how stupid it is that we cannot see the caps we get for each attribute before making a player. There is really no reason that we cannot at least see the major skill caps for each position before the player is actually created. This doesn't hurt vets at all because most of us will just sit there and play with the attributes over and over until we get the caps right, but for new agents, it is terrible.

Some people will say this makes it "too easy" to get the right caps, but that logic just doesn't make any sense, because if I really want to get the perfect caps then I will sit here and build the same player 30 times (If I need to) before I get it perfect.

Love the name, now find a picture. Hate when people don't put a picture.

With the SA's I would get quick read to gold. Takes 2 SA points to get to silver and then 3 more to get gold.

Deshaan32... I'm most likely gonna have a new team next year so if you want I can save you a spot at qb (or any offensive position) if you want to retire your at the end of the year. I personally don't think you need to but others do. So just letting you know
