It doesn't make sense that this hasn't been implemented yet after 5 seasons. If the defensive side has a separate depth chart at every position, then why can't the offense do the same? This deserves to be placed in the epic suggestions forum that never gets used. Sometimes I feel like this game was released but left unattended, because I never see any updates to a game that is supposed to be in beta.

Actually, it's a NGTH suggestion since it would give a huge advantage to the offense unless it was paired up with defenses being able to key to personnel which adds a bunch of extra programming and complexity to the game that the devs have made very clear they're not going to do.

This is intentionally done to (as far as I can tell) prevent a lot of the problems that happened in GLB1 as far as extremely specialized players being the only type of useful player. It's not something they plan on doing and just haven't gotten around to.

I believe this was the case in season 1 but they removed it for the above reasons. Wouldn't be surprised is this made it to NGTH.

Yeah, its done this way on purpose. Defensive coordinators jobs are complicated enough.

It was so much fun building offenses on the test server when this existed. Defense sucked. NGTH.
