Obviously you would be going Quick Read with SA 1, but I haven't really found an obvious #2.

What have you guys taken as your 2nd SA on a pocket QB and why?

I thought about pump fake, but because no one plays zone I might think about clock manager or hail mary, tending toward cm. Maybe home town hero could be interesting as well.

on the run. Show me one replay where a QB is able to just stand there, against a decent defense, comfortable in the pocket, and unload like a turret.

It doesn't exist. QBs are always moving when they throw, and OTR helps increase the quality of those passes.

What? I could show you tons of replays where the QB is just standing in the pocket. That is all my QB does because I don't want him scrambling in blitz's.

I'm not talking about running for his life, just moving around. QB bots are always on the move, never standing still and in decent leagues with everybody blitzing you're likely going to need to throw the ball on the move quite often.

This is not considered "On the Run". In fact On the Run would be a bad SA choice in my offense.

I like OTR. It literally only takes a slight sidestep to get it to fire.

The description for OTR say: "[...] while moving out of the pocket."

So I dont think it will work, just because your QB is dancing in the pocket a bit...

Eh I guess it is an ok choice after looking at some more replays. Especially if you have 3 stars.

nope. If your QB even slightly adjusts position in the pocket (in other words, potentially every play), it can fire.

It ends up being timing. If you happen to be adjusting position in the pocket when you need to throw, it'll help.

OTR's activation condition is: Throwing a pass while moving.

Personally, OTR is my favorite SA to take on a pocket passer, although I like to pick up both it, and Quick Read, at some point.

Looking at my last game however, my QB had 44 passes (6 hurries). Bronze Quick Read (15%) fired 38 times while Silver On The Run (60%) fired 16, so I actually think Quick Read is bugged based on the amount of times it fired. Even if you were not being hurried on all 44 passes, it should only fire 6-7 times based on the % chance to activate.

Anyone else notice anything like that?

I dont think the % chance is per play, but it can fire each time the QB makes a read of some other instance where there is a pass awareness dice roll. So it is a % of those dice rolls which there might be 4 or more per play.

Ok. you run a pass first oline, unlike about 80% of glb2...

what works in your O is so helpful.
