As we enter the offseason, I feel like putting a hypothetical out to the GLB2 folks...

Hypothetically, an agent you know comes to you, asking if you have a home for a player. None of the teams you own/coordinate actually have an opening at that position (and it isn't at a spot where you own the player, either), but the player they offer is clearly a better build/fit than the one you have now. How many of you would make the upgrade and cut your existing player, who would stand pat with someone they feel obligated to keep?

For me - it would probably depend on the current agents involvement.

Are they active in the forums? Doing anything for the team (scouting / etc)? Have I known them awhile?
How much better is the new guy?

If it were me - I definitely might upgrade. My commitment to the team (and trying to win) has to come ahead of keeping a single player on the team...especially since he should be able to find a different team - not like I'm forcing him to retire or something.

im pretty loyal to people here unless it comes down to a short offseason and you haven't signed a contract yet. Then I have to make choices to field a team. Thus far I haven't really had to make too many tough choices though. I will generally cut my own guy if need be since most of the teams I run have many of my own players.

I tend to go the loyalty route but will upgrade in some situations.

Unless the existing player is an awful build I stay with the current guy. If the new guy was a superstar though I bring him in in a heartbeat.

As a non-coordinator/owner, i hold no grudges when cut for another whether i hold the same opinion of better build or not.
Not my team, and not that petty.

If the current guy's owner has a couple of other players on your team I wouldnt cut him. If he has only one player on your team, I would consider cutting him.

depends on how active and committed to the game he/she is...if i feel that the agent is loyal and does his hw (reading, posting forums) then i will keep him but otherwise if he/she is a "jr.smith" then gon fishing

When Yukiko hit the market, I cut our team owner's QB in order to sign her

Heck, if I find everything I'm looking for in the offseason (pass blocking O-line are highest on that list), said team owner might be down to a single player on his own team.

I would cut my mother if it meant I might win a game that I otherwise wouldn't

i typically only cut my own guys to add people - saves me money and helps people feel like they are part of a team rather than pawns on my chess board

'Tis the advantage of being me. All the Loungers already know they are merely pawns on my chess board

Weirdly enough, Rom's team seems to outrank you

Weirdly enough, I spent way more time scouting Salty for Vase Breakers than I did on any Lost Lounge opponent.

I'm serious about that being weird. Usually it's vastly the other way around, but I just got really into that matchup.

I'm also greatly looking forward to next season and getting back to just a few teams. Spread myself too thin this season.
