I have one heck of a FB monster power rusher, great blocker, decent reciever. Any advice. Look for J.C Copeland under my players

He wants advice on where to go for this player: http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/player/47985

All the advice I can give - focus on something. Anything, but ONE thing. 27 pancakes as the sole fullback on the team is terrible, 2.4 yards per carry is bad. You're trying to be everything, with all those points in pass blocking (which, if you watch games, you'll see you almost never do), run blocking, reciving, AND running...it makes you bad at everything when you try that hard to be balanced. Plus, 4 SAs invested in, none gold, is not helping the situation. Pick one job, do it great, and then a second job you can be OK at. Trying to do four jobs is a terrible player.

His cake total is misleading because he is an FB; he gets maybe 10 plays a game on a good day.

His YPC is pretty bad but we have no idea why that is; he could be getting playcalls in difficult situations for high YPC (like goalline FB dives) which seems pretty likely since he only gets his number called maybe 1 or 2 times a game.

All the pass blocking is really a waste because most people don't keep the FB on the field in those situations (for the most part, that could change as the meta does).

I don't think spreading SA's is as bad as people make it sound depending on what you're doing (Yukiko has 6 at the end of Seasoned) and I actually kind of like your choices (apart from Grinder as I think you're better off as a 1st or 2nd down goalline option than 3rd down or nothing). On first or second I don't really have any second thoughts about taking a goal-line specialized FB and running him down somebodies throat to hope it works (even at 5+ yards) but by 3rd down your options are more limited especially by distance. With Grinder I feel encouraged to only use you third down, and then on probably half of the 3rd downs I would rather pass or use a faster halfback because the distance would be too great.

It's rare you will ever catch more than a few passes a season as well unless your OC gameplans for it (which he is unlikely to do when you aren't a pure pass catching FB)

I'd try to hone in on the idea of being a Goal Line Dive/Power Option and improve your run blocking from here on out, but leave pass blocking and catching alone at this point

False...

Thats 87 pancakes with barely 100 rushing attempts on the season. FBs can get cakes if built right.

His low YPC is a product of being in Journeyman, having to likely run into a lot of the best run defenses since he is a FB, and having less than average balance/Power Running for a rusher along with terrible carry awareness.

Right now having a FB that is a mediocre runner isn't exactly intriguing. He is most likely gonna have to bust through a 5-2, 4-4, or a 4-3 set. He is going to need a very good running oline and a good power build. Especially considering the Middle Overload meta.

Do ST's pancakes count on that?

Considering the SA allotment he has put forth, I think you have to max balance and push power running at this point. He is heading into pro and has 7 AP's already spent in rushing the ball.

Yes, ST cakes count in your normal totals.

Not sure what point your trying to prove; your FB plays 4x as many plays as he does.

He had 217 plays in the regular season and you had 312, and I am pretty sure it only extrapolates from there in the ladder stats (which I am not calculating). Not to mention he is not blocking a third to half the plays he is in the game.

Also not sure what comparing a pancake focused FB to a running FB does other than stroking your own e-peen

Actually I just figured out the source of my confusion. nortobc linked a player and I didn't look closely and assumed it was the player from the OP. I now understand the question. My apologies for the confusion.
