No one did one, and I'm bored enough to volunteer.

1. (#28) The Salty Runback VS. (#31) Dookie Island

Salty is starting to run away from the rest of the pack. I don't see Dookie Island beating them, unless Corndog actually spends time caring instead of fixing the game. Should be close though.

21-17 Salty

2. Harrisonburg Bulldogs VS. 4. Air Raid

Tdiddy gets another break from Salty, in another matchup with Air Raid. The first game was an offensive showcase for both teams. Not sure the Bulldogs can win another high scoring game.

45-35 Air Raid

3. Hawaii Bulls VS. 5. Yorickshire Vase Breakers

These two haven't meet this season. Hawaii has a slim chance to move into #2 with a win. Both teams have been rolling outside of losses to Air Raid. The Vase Breakers are proving that they are better than their sibling team Lost Lounge, but I still expect the Bulls to pull out a win.

24-21 Bulls

6. Lost Lounge VS. 8. Glasgow Rangers

Glasgow has a long road up the ladder this season, including a nice win against Cobb's Hookers last week. The Lounge on the other hand have had a tough ladder season at 5-8. However, Lost Lounge has had to play mostly top 5 teams, and the Rangers have been taking down teams on the other have of the top 5. I'll be rooting for Glasgow and I expect them to put up a good fight, but 2 fourth quarter touchdowns by Yukiko will seal it.

42-31 Lounge

7. (#58) Atlantic City Hookers VS. (#57) One Underestimated Posse

The Hookers have been sliding down the ladder this season at 5-8. Cobb however is still the best WR in the game. I'm not sure if the Journeymen team they got matched up against will gameplan hard enough to shut him down. However, I'm not sure the Hookers will be able to slow them down.

41-38 Hookers.

9. Cobra Kai VS. 12. Berkeley Bowlers

Here we go again. Our 5th straight match-up. Berkeley has won 3 out of the last 4, but the Kai finally got a couple of rolls to go their way last game. I'm picking against my squad just based on the fact that Berkeley has beat us up those first 3 games.

38-35 Berkeley

You need to make up for it by doing 1-15 next time. And thanks Tezed.

totally effed up my defensive tactics/when specific plays were called, and still almost won the game. I guess that's what happens when you try not blitzing 100% of the time for once. One (http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/74332/3160567) or two plays dice-rolling my way, it would have been a W). Not sure why i ran it so much either... I had run percentages realllllllllyyyyyyyy low

oh well... first time losing to a non salty or hawaii team in 4 months (March 17th - roughly 2 seasons), I guess it was bound to happen eventually, but the ranking gods hate me, so obviously I move down to 4th on the ladder.

I thought your defense was considerably better playing coverage than it was Middle Overloading. I need to look it over, but I bet you'll find that your Man OLB blitz calls ended up being your least efficient defensive plays. Other than Philip Fry doing his superstar thing, you had us bottled up pretty good. His game winner was against the single coverage by the blitz after all.

I did find it funny to see you running coverage, and us spamming MO. Role Reversal leads to lower scoring affair. GG Tdiddy

this is how I knew I screwed up the gameplan... I saw us run a man OLB blitz on a 1st and 10, when it should have only been triggered on a 3rd and very long. Short blitzing plays were triggering on 0% blitz probability, even though there were no differences in the play other than the blitz, which confuses me completely.

first game in probably a month+ where i didn't watch the game the whole way through... as soon as I saw that I got mad, and went straight to box score

In some ways our defense was worse today... completion percentage today was higher for you today than when we went MO last game. Your YPC was higher last game, but I think that was mostly due to the 48, 87, and 40 yard TD passes. If it wasn't for higher probability of giving up long passes, I'd much prefer MO.

Man OLB Fire only fired once on first down the entire game and that was the first play. weird. Did you have anything in the first down column with %'s other than medium?

We all would, but those long plays against it by certain passing plays is precisely it's weakness as a pass defense. Assuming you've got the builds to execute those bombs on offense anyhow. That's what makes it such a good pubstomp defense: most teams can't punish it effectively.

Fwiw, did the math. Man OLB blitz was 5/10 completions for 112 yards. 11.2 YPA. Obviously, greatly impacted by the 54 yard TD reception at the end by Philip. You forced a bunch of underneath throws when you were in coverage, which is something people have greatly undervalued against us in general IMO. That means you held us to 6.5 YPA on the plays where you ran coverage. That's pretty freaking good.

I don't think you are doing the math justice really when comparing Man OLB Blitz and his coverage. Even his coverage was pretty blown up on 3rd down and long and that is where most of Man OLB Blitz ran. He would have forced more underneath throws with blitzing in the earlier downs but regardless on 3rd down you were hitting deep at the same rate.

eh, I went 5-9 against Man OLB Fire on 3rd down conversions, and 2-5 against coverage on 3rd down conversions. 55% vs the blitz. 40% vs the coverage.

You do the math on that admittedly small sample size, and it's probably the difference in 7-14 to 6-14 and an extra punt, which is most likely the difference in the game. He needed to kill only one more of my drives ultimately.

Well I don't really count the 3rd and 1 downs. Those throws could be thrown anywhere. Mostly talking about the 3rd and longs.

So really they both went 2-5.

Regardless though he couldn't get to you with the blitz so whether being OLB blitz or the coverage a lot of it was mostly luck based.

Honestly he lucked mostly out on times when your AI brought out SB Big instead of 3 or 4 WR. Those were the stalling plays he needed to see more of.
