Anybody have one or know of one? Seems kind of an interesting build to try.

has to be on an organized team that plans to pass to them otherwise you're wasting your flex.

The inability to put players in based on the offensive formation really makes it hard to have a true situational half back

Yeah, but it is good that way and important it stays that way to prevent abusing

Just realized my FB is leading the HOF, lol. He is a receiving FB, but looking at his numbers shows that I have to be the only one using Receiving Backs, lol

I'm building one, but he's not getting much playing time. Anyone know how important route technique & footwork are going to be?

1) Your SAs are all over the place.
2) If you want to have more reliable catching and running, you can't ignore balance, consistency, and receiving hands.
3) If you aren't running screens, you are probably in coverage, so you will need better catch in traffic (especially since your elusiveness is low, so you aren't going to be looking to "make" separation).
If you are getting passed to or want to get passed to more often, you should work on those skills for awhile. If your OC isn't using you in the passing game all that much, you can continue working on your running skills.
Your caps are pretty low, so you are going to end up with a balanced build in the end with no skills in the 80s or 90s and almost none in the 70s.

Not sure there is much reason to go big on the catching skills unless you are looking into making a reliable screen game. Most of the throws to HB's and FB's are dump offs in which as an OC I would rather they not make the catch at all. Especially considering the fall down action that happens far too often even with 80+ balance.

I'd be surprised if balance is the only factor in a receiver falling down, ie the toughness of a balance roll is probably dependent on how good the catch roll was

and the difficulty of the catch roll being based on how accurately and techniquey the ball was thrown. My assumption is there's always a sphere of catches you will fall down trying to catch. Adding balance and catching skills probably expands that sphere. But the QB can always just miss you into that high % fall down zone, no matter how far out you push your receivers capabilities. Whether that zone is right in the chest, or a yard away from your player.

Receiving Awareness reduces the 'fall down' factor by letting the receiver adjust to the ball while it's in the air.

Or, letting him adjust to a pass that was previously uncatchable, that can now be brought into catchable, but high fall down % range.
Receivers are always going to have a high fall down rate when the pass is thrown to the fringe of their catching skills.
