Well, this is it... Real Life has finally done what none of y'all were able to do: forced me out of owning and coordinating teams on GLB. This will be the final season for both Palm Bay squads. The Palookas will make one more run at a gold trophy, while the Paladins are already out of playoff contention and are done with their season.
Wish I could stick around, but my work schedule has just gotten too crazy, and there were more than a handful of games this season that we somehow got lucky and won with our default offense since I just didn't have time to gameplan. (xxflip's phenomenal work on defense certainly provided some of that luck.) Without time to gameplan, my offense gets a lot less effective, so it's time to let it go.
To all of our rivals and opponents for the past 10 seasons, thanks for keeping me on my toes and providing worthy challengers for me to play against. This run was by far the most fun I've ever had on GLB, and y'all played a role in that, so thank you.
I'm not leaving the game entirely... I'm going to play out the string on my current 3 dots, and when the youngest one (OT Little Ozzie) gets old enough to retire in 4 or 5 seasons, I'll start over with a fresh batch of dots for some lucky owner somewhere out there. So, I'm done with running teams and gameplanning, but I'm not done dot-farming. Not yet.
