Prediction Week 5- Divisional Play Week 2… Which division will be the strongest?
Last week (6-0)
Season (14-10)

Alpha- 3 wins
Bravo- 5 wins
Gamma- 4 win

Sexy Dance Fighters (2-2) v. Carolina Pirates (4-0)
Matchup http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/compare_teams/334/152
In this divisional matchup the Sexy Dance Fighters host the Alpha division leading Pirates of Carolina. The Pirates have the edge according to the matchups and look to continue their winning streak this week. Carolina will look to control the clock and keep the number 1 ranked rushing offense led by Muntz and Belcher off the field. Carolina will focus on the ground game led by Joker Shifty. This game will be decided by how well the great rushing defense of Carolina handles the QB tandem in this one. Carolina has given up 305 yards all year and Sexy Dance Fighters average 330 yards per game on the ground. In an upset…
Prediction: 27-14 Sexy Dance Fighters

Midgar Avalanche (2-2) v. Dallas Manglers (2-2)
Matchup http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/compare_teams/436/94
The Avalanche of Midgar host the Dallas Manglers in the second week of divisional play. The Manglers have the edge in the matchups based on their exceptional quarterback and receiving corp. Marcus Fleet, and the Manglers are coming off a win last week in which they dominated the Grizzlies. The Manglers won the TOP battle again this past week in a game which was highlighted by a 2 TD performance by Fleet. Midgar won a game that got away from the Stripling Warriors. Midgar ran for over 450 yards and controlled the TOP in this one. Midgar will look to control the clock with their number 2 defense in this game. Expect the Manglers to use the balanced approach to control a defense which is averaging over 10 sacks per game. Fleet will need a better effort from Gore and Blaster if they are going to keep the potent Midgar offense off the field. This game will be low scoring and the team which controls the clock will have the edge.

Prediction: 17-10 Midgar

Jacksonville Sharks (1-3) v. Baltimore BrewMasters (1-3)
Matchup http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/compare_teams/659/132

In this divisional matchup the between two 1-3 teams, the Baltimore BrewMasters will travel to play the Jacksonville Sharks. The BrewMasters have lost three straight games after winning their opener, and the Sharks are losers of two straight. This is an important early season matchup if either of these teams are trying to stay in contention for a playoff berth. Olde English 800 and the number 2 passing offense play against C.J. Mosley and the number 2 passing defense. This game could be decided here, but the Sharks cannot win unless their offense plays better. They are ranked 12th in the league in total offense and they face a defense who is coming off a strong performance against a great passing offense. Jacksonville is going to have to run the ball to win this one. Baltimore has too strong of a rushing defense for the Sharks in this one.

Prediction: 13-10 Baltimore BrewMasters

*Game of the Week*
New York Gangsters (2-2) v. Rapper’s Delight (4-0)
Matchup http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/compare_teams/300/659
In this game of the week matchup, The New York Gangsters will host the undefeated and Gamma leading Rapper’s Delight. The Gangsters have the slight edge according to the matchup. New York has turned their season around since going 0-2 to start. Their defense has improved and the offense has given them just enough to hold on. They will try to slow down the number 1 passing offense led by Dead Shot in this game. Dead Shot is off to a torrid start throwing the football. His offensive line has given him the time to find the open man, and the aggressive Delight defense led by Arias has provided the spark for this number 1 ranked scoring defense. This game will be won in the trenches and the Gangsters will slow this game down. In a close one…
Prediction 10-7 Rapper’s Delight

Portland Storm (4-0) v. Chicago Grizzlies (1-3)
Matchup http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/compare_teams/690/560
In this Game of the Week matchup the division leading Storm host the Chicago Grizzlies. This is a balanced game according to the matchup. This is a matchup of the top offense vs. the last place defense. The number 1 defense versus the 11th ranked offense. I think we see where this game is going…Quad Streaker and the rushing game will have their way with the Grizzlies in this one. Short fields will lead to the game getting out of hand early as the Storm show why they are one of the favorites in the early going to win the Lithium League. In a blowout

Prediction: 45-7 Portland Storm

Pa Dong Dragons (0-4) v. Jershon Stripling Warriors (1-3)
Matchup http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/compare_teams/387/29

The Pa Dong Dragons face the Jershon Stripling Warriors in this divisional matchup of two teams struggling in the early stages of this season. This is an even matchup according to the rankings. The Dragons offense has struggled so far this season. The offense is moving the football on the ground and in the air, but they cannot seem to find the endzone. Part of this is due to the bad field position that their defense is giving up. The defense played inspired football last week in a 9-3 loss, and will need this same type of effort to beat Beck and the Stripling Warriors. The Stripling Warriors have struggled of late scoring the ball as well. They have scored 7 points in their last two games. This team is loaded within superstars, but they are just trying to figure each other out. Beck will put up 200 yards again, and they will get some help in the running game. They will score just enough in this one.
Prediction: 14-13 Jershon Stripling Warriors

I agree. Stuff like this makes the league (and game) so much more enjoyable. Thanks for picking SDF in an upset... I mean doing this write-up.

We have some major changes to our gameplan so an upset will be likely.

Lets see if I can pick at least 5 this week to keep up my streak after picking one game earlier in week 2.

I think 5 will be pretty hard. You picked an upset in the first game and there are 3 games where you have teams with same or similar record playing against each other.

You just ran into a motivated Chicago Grizzlies defense.

You were right about Jershon scoring just enough. 3-0. Ran this same offense in several scrimmages and ladder games and put up 20+. Padong's defense is very good.

The Dragons have a bend but dont break defense. They do not give up the big play and the kickers are horrible on rookie. Makes for defensive struggles. Good win,, and hopefully I will have some sort of answer for the Dragons next game. Not looking forward to it. They are by far much better than their record is.
