You don't need build guides in GLB2...that's the beauty. You can go with the flow and add SPs into areas where you see your player as deficient...just by watching his replays.

Your biggest decision point is his starting attributes and traits.

I went with early bloomer on my TE and haven't regretted it. He has enough run block skills. He's really slow, but you can go high route tech and route elusiveness with Head Fake to put some swag on verse LB's in the middle who don't have enough Man Aware. I also have really high catch in traffic and grip and consistency so he can bring in all those short 6 yard drag catches needed for the first down. He's got 68 hands and all other receiving in the 40+'s he's managed to catch 23 or 34 targets all with only 34 sprinting maxed.

100% in disagreement with you but, that's okay. I'll probably be making all of my S* with early bloomer too. Not sure yet, I haven't crunched those numbers yet.

rTEs can be a very reliable source of yards and I would advise getting all your receiving skills high first. Work physicals in gradually and regularly, but like Mezirah said, you don't need to exceptional, competent will do, especially as a Rookie. Now I'm building his blocking, (he's Seasoned) so he can be an asset in the run game too. Even if you've set your attributes and traits to focus on receiving, you still get good blocking caps as a TE. Best thing in here is Mezirah's tip to get Head Fake to go with high route tech and route elusiveness. This works really well.

if you want a jack of all trades FB or TE I think early bloomer is viable.

I have level 11 Kicker, Free Safety, WR and TE early bloomers, and I'm still happy with their maxes. But I also spent a long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long time building each one.

its dumb. Superstars are probs the dumbest player to put EB on.

No one wants a jack of all trades FB cuz it will suck at everything EB or not.

and combo TEs are easy to build without EB, taking EB to build a combo TE is lol and a novice move.

so basically just pump receiving hands, receiving consistency, Catch in traffic, have decent conditioning, and maybe have decent receiving grip and that's all I need?

Start with receiving hands, then make adjustments after watching your teams replays.
