You've got Head Fake for Man Aware. Pump Fake for Zone Aware.


It's time for Play Action for Blitz Aware.


Ability type: Passive
Powered by: Pass Awareness
Activation: Dropping back, HB not held back
Activation chance: up to 15%
Duration: 1.6 seconds
While active: +15 to pocket awareness. Chance to fake out pass rushers within 6 yards of HB, causing them to be confused for 1.2 seconds.

Won't happen and wouldn't it be more for keeping the Safeties and LBs down for a little bit longer so WRs/TEs can get behind them?

not sure anyone would argue that defenses are too strong -- and that the offense needs more tools/weapons (but that's what you're trying to do here it seems)

It just does what it says. Mainly because it's fun.

It just gives the HB a halo that causes defenders in pass rush mode to stop, much like when a CB is Head Faked. They will just stand there for a second.

You could use this tactically if you wanted as well. Vs a super pass rushing LB typically depthed to one side or another and often rushings the edge, you could coordinate more pass plays where the half back travels along that edge.

Another way is getting some relief is you have a mis-match you can't cover. I.e. you have a run block focused offensive line with a Guard and OT backup specializing in pass rush, and you go against a team who has a full DL of 90 pass tech speed guys all with spin cycle, and you feel like you are going to get crushed every 3rd and 7 you need to throw.

It's just a toy. I personally wouldn't take it on my QB based off the builds and play calling of Los Cabos, but others may like it.

Nah, Head Fake and this skill affecting OLB and Safeties would be way too much. I already thought of that. Plus it's not cool asking CB's, safeties and coverage LB's to all of a sudden start putting a ton of points into blitz aware just to defend vs a QB who has gold. If you want Man/Zone aware to defend against it, that's overwhelming because there's already Head Fake and receivers don't need more help.

But freezing the LB's and any safeties who are up in run support is exactly what play action is supposed to do. It slows down the pass rush, and it lets WR's and especially TE's get in behind the LB's.

My concern with adding something like this is that QB's already can almost completely neutralize pass rush themselves already, and we're starting to see new coverage problems as a result of the offseason changes involving WR's and TE's being able to easily slip past DB's. Until all that gets cleaned up, something like this just makes defenses in GLB2 even more lolpointless.

I dont know Xav, If you had Quick Read gold and Pump Fake gold you could only have this ability to silver. And those are stronger. It probably would have a tougher time beating the blitz aware check. I think it would be good for team make up. I SA's that allow a player to roll the dice to get some relief on their weaknesses. Like if your offensive lineman is run block focused, but takes Leverage to help when losing pass block. This is just a tool. I thought it'd be more filler and a novelty ability most of us would think about, but ultimately decide against. There's plenty of those in the game already, but I feel like the QB could have 1 more. Right now he's only got a couple of real QB oriented choices.

Overlooking Hail Mary..you have pump fake, quick read, on the run. Any non-S* will take all 3. For MAYBE options and for Superstar QB's,..Clock Manager. There needs to be 1 in my opinion, and things like Tuck and Run and Hail Mary are lol.

You still gotta beat the blitz awareness check, I only seeing this help 2-3x a game, and in most cases just changing a hurry to non-hurry.

I would probably reduce duration to 0.5 seconds because making a rusher re-accelerate is also penalty enough.

That same game from Providence vs Generals the QB gets pressured a lot from the wrong side the HB runs. It doesn't destroy pass rush at all. Again, you'd have to beat the check. It's sending a 15% chance to slow an edge lb down on 1-side for half a second. Also would catch that edge's DT and DE maybe, if they were so lucky to get an early pass break. But that's kind of rare unless Spin fires off right away. And even then, the chances of the ability lining up with that instance are pretty small.

I actually think pocket passing superstar qb's are lol. It's just more reason to make a team thinking about getting one. There, I said it.

If you'd played in Oberon last season where nobody was getting sacks, you'd feel pretty differently about the need for more tools for a QB to use against the defense.

lol, ya i definitely know. which is why realistically this is ridiculous. HF is bad enough. The fact that CB's need skills of 9 billion just to keep running deep on 3rd and long is bad enough.

Do people think about getting one? I have passed on them 3 times now for regular QB's.

Sacks are 1 thing, in journeyman, theres less sacks and it's more about forcing QB's to get rid of it and make bad throws. Throwing crap passes due to pressure seems to be the meta. But I also think newly built teams can create serious pass pressure.

There's also an experimental build I'd like to try out where you give the DT's super spin cycle stats with high snap awareness, and very high intimidation, like 90! Because if a DT can get an early spin and get into the pocket, the threat halo from intimidation makes a QB ineligible for Quick Read.
